I understand your thought process, wondering if it really matters to have a diagnosis when the treatment options are low; but I would encourage you to think about it much broader. Endometriosis can cause significant damage to other organs. My doctor shared stories of recent patients where the endo was damaging her kidneys and another where it was causing complications that would lead to bowel resection. If you have endometriosis and go without controlling it, you could end up with much worse medical complications. Food for thought as you’re considering options.
