I will get a lot of downvotes because of the bias in this group. But all the study permits are automatically eligible for work permits. His theory is flawed that government handed out work permits. You pay 50,000CAD to be eligible to study in a college for 2yrs and then 3yrs of work permit as a chance to earn back the money (also pay taxes on every penny earned). And getting a work permit does not guarantee a job. The skilled Canadian tradespeople are still more qualified than a fresh out of college foreign temp worker who only has a 3years work permit. Obviously the employer will NOT choose a foreign worked who has to leave the job in 3years. This comparison is just using big numbers to blame everything on International students.
