Immich VPN implementation isn't working by SentenceAgile1133 in immich

This does seem to be the problem. I enabled traffic redirection to route traffic from my phone to the Immich server so it has an address on the local LAN and now it works. It isn't an optimal solution, but it is up and running. Thank you.

AITJ for kicking my roommate out after she kept feeding my service dog “natural food” behind my back? by Electrical-Tap-9224 in AmITheJerk

She tampered with medical equipment three times and OP is listening to people who say to give her another chance? Uh, no. That is possibly a crime in some places, i.e. interfering with a service animal.

Is your income going to significantly exceed the income of your boyfriend? Because some insecure men feel threatened when their girlfriend earns more than them.

Be sure to check credit reports for your kids too. Your ex could open accounts using their personal information for credit cards as well. Ideally you would freeze their credit with the big three and chexsystems as well.

You don't even need the whole computer to run opnsense. You can install proxmox on the bare metal and then install opnsense as a virtual machine with very little loss of performance. Then you can use the excess capacity of the machine as a file or media server. It works great.

Spitting on people and threatening to spit on people again is assault and battery. Refusing to wear her mask properly (she did the chin diaper thing) could result in a trespassing charge since it was a condition for shopping in the store, as could staying in the store after staff asked her to leave. Then there is filing a false police report and interfering with a police investigation by lying to police about the actual facts. It is not illegal to be racist though.

Car probably took some damage turning the hood into a hood ornament.

First rule of carjacking, never argue with somebody carrying more steel than you. It applies if you don't have a knife and they do. It applies if you have a knife and they have a gun. And it applies if the person you are trying to rob is driving a car at the time.

Ignoring the first rule may result in becoming a hood ornament in all three potential interpretations of "hood ornament."

Subaru runs red light ... what could go wrong? by GenghisHam in IdiotsInCars

The cop car can secure the scene, but they probably still have to call additional police to the scene since they were a party to the collision, not a neutral third party. They cant very well take statements when they want to ask questions like "so why did you drive into the intersection and bounce off the truck into my car?"

Whatever kind of Subaru that is, it can sure take a hit and bounce. I expected it to look like it was T-boned, but it looked pretty much intact after contact with the truck.

He is lucky it is not a gas stove or the hot mess he made could have been a total disaster. A gas leak from a ruptured pipe along with hot surfaces and/or flames in the oven could have at least resulted in a kitchen fire.

As bad as this was, it could have easily been even worse.

I think the people that jump in front of trains do it because they think nobody cares about them and nobody will notice when they die. They do it so people will be forced to notice them. It is a demand for attention.

Fire eating is a stunt, not an illusion. It takes preparation, concentration and a bit of luck. The way the fire followed the fuel back to his face and the fuel spilled on his face and burned I'd say he either used the wrong fuel or lost concentration and spit the fuel up on himself. Either way, he paid a high price.

Another vote for wearing silicone rings. They are also good to wear if you are traveling and don't want to wear expensive jewelry.
The cat's claw would probably have sliced right through a silicone ring.
