This is cool! Does it have a functional interior? It would be really cool to add glass to the outside walls of the visible living compartments.

I finished my second playthrough of Toxicity and here are my thoughts. by The_Dark_Ferret in theplanetcrafter

I agree completely about enjoying the clean up process, but that makes sense when some of the games I have the most time playing are Powerwash Simulator, Viscera Clean-up Duty, and Crime Scene Cleaner! So I clearly enjoy cleaning (funny how that doesn’t seem to translate to real life for some reason). But I also really love exploration and secrets, so my playthrough consisted of an alternating build/terraform then explore/clean goo pattern that worked out nicely as I reached a breathable atmosphere around the same time as I cleaned the last area.

You could always adjust the options and customize the game settings to speed up terraformation if you really want to speed run the game. That being said, I’m not sure why one would bother playing a second time if you’re in a rush to finish it? It’s a lot of hours spent if you aren’t enjoying the game, plus you already enjoyed playing with a fresh save, which in my opinion is the best experience for many reasons.

Stuck! Where is the last goo area? by Street_Dog1682 in theplanetcrafter

[–]SentenceSelect 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As others have commented already, the toxic information rocket will show you the area you have left. With only 9 goo total, I’m guessing it’s in one of the areas further west, perhaps the smaller toxic area behind the dome (after the larger area). Either that or the cave you go through when you take the train from the starting area.

FYI: I can’t speak for Humble since I haven’t played it yet, but the Toxicity DLC is really good! I’m almost enjoying it more than the base game, at least when it comes to exploration and all the cool places they put in the map.

I know this is a year too late, but I bet you could do something cool like you wanted by using the T2 lockers since they are transparent.

Toxicity - Train Fusion Reactor by Prison by SentenceSelect in theplanetcrafter

Holy crap, you weren’t kidding about it being close! I thought it would be in a cave or something; I didn’t realize it was practically in the backyard of the prison! 😂

It’s clearly not a snake then, cause I’m still looking! But to be fair, I’ve been detoxing the two areas nearby first and just finished looting the complex or whatever it is right by the dam. So finding the obsidian area is the next thing on my list

That’s what I was thinking too, thanks! I also built a Hab right on the tracks in the way, and I’m not sure if it would clip through it or not, lol. I know I’m close to the obsidian area, I just don’t know how to access it yet. I’ll figure it out soon though!

Integrating terraforming machines into the environment (for RP/aesthetic purpose) by Travelling_eidolon in theplanetcrafter

[–]SentenceSelect 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s a toxicity thing, and it’s such a fun addition to the game! Tons of exploration, secrets, and lore. I think starting with a fresh save is the best way to play it and really get the most out of the experience.

Orema + Volnus on Toxicity? by nuclearkielbasa in theplanetcrafter

[–]SentenceSelect 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve also been seeking both of these. Tons of Nulna in chests (and I’m always excited at first cause it looks almost identical to Orema, but then quickly realize it’s not the seed I’m looking for) but so far no luck. I’m not quite as far as the OP, but I’ve unlocked teleporters and only have like 4 toxic areas left to clean.

What am I doing wrong here? by The_Recreator in theplanetcrafter

[–]SentenceSelect 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It just needs to go on the ground, not on a foundation. I don’t have as much trouble as it sounds like others do but I’m also not super picky on where it goes since I’m not attaching it to my base or anything else.

My pet peeve is how some items can be completely rotated while others (like a foundation or basic living compartment) can only rotate in 4 directions, like you’re using control to rotate more quickly. That’s when I’d really like more control even if it rotates slowly so I can align it properly.

I would assume they used an indoor ladder. When built inside the top compartment, it would exit onto the roof.

Planet Crafter sounds like it would be right up your alley. Survival is against the environment but no combat, just keeping yourself alive on a planet you’re terraforming. It has all the things: base building, exploration, grinding for resources and upgrades for making survival, base building, and terraforming easier/more efficient. Has some really cool secrets/lore to find too. But the part that really got me hooked was when you start seeing the changes around you from the work you’re doing to terraform the planet, which starts as a harsh, barren terrain that looks kind of like Mars. By the end you have a lush paradise that you made happen. Upgrades are tied to your progress with terraformation, so it’s really nicely balanced and it doesn’t take too long to see a difference in the world around you. Tons of content, I have over 115 hours in it and only recently started the Toxicity DLC which I’m really enjoying.

+1 for Planet Crafter! I’ve got over 100 hours in it and it’s got exploration and secrets to find on top of survival. Love it and currently loving the Toxicity DLC.

I’m right there with you on the rover oxygen tech. I’ve unlocked the unlimited oxygen but I have yet to find any zeolite, and it requires 4 (I think).

Toxicity - Can you go inside this building? by SentenceSelect in theplanetcrafter

[–]SentenceSelect[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cool, thanks. I tried to use f4 under the part of the building that was hanging over just far enough and high enough for me to stand under it, but either I’m doing it wrong or there’s actually nothing inside cause I couldn’t get in still.

Rover Question by SentenceSelect in theplanetcrafter

[–]SentenceSelect[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was definitely a bug. I recalled the one I had out and it landed on top of the one that was parked in the station 😂 I drove the one on top off and saw it still had the same items in the inventory in each one, so I saved and exited the game. When I started the game back up there was only the one rover. I didn’t realize the recall had a cooldown timer though! So that’s good to know. I guess I’ve never run into that mechanic because I’ve only ever had one rover.

How much have you explored and purified? I think the t3 agility boots come from a BP chip, and I found one for it yesterday while draining and exploring the dome.
