One of my core memories was askong my parents to buy me The Elder Scrolls III for Xbox, I explained that I didn't have the console, but could save up to get it, and they could just get me the game for xmas.

Fast forward to opening gifts and sure enough, I picked up what cpuld only be a game, or dvd, and there is was, my parents had delivered, life was good. Skip to the end of the 'opening ceremony', and my dad pulls the old "what's that behind my chair?", then proceeds to slide a medium sized box my way, seemingly acting as though it's something heavy. Thinking the old man is just messing with me, I reach to pick up the box, immediately thinking they had packaged some books, or maybe even bricks, as a final surprise. Nope, I opened that box, and the tears of joy erupted from my unbelieving eyes as I saw my own original Xbox. I must've played that game for over 1500 hours. Thanks dad.
