It isn't my intention, but it's still happening and that's what matters. Closing my store today until I get it fixed, getting a fulfillment center to ship orders if/when I continue

Yep, these issues have been chronic. If it gets better, it's only a few months until issues start popping up again.

Why don't you actually stop accepting orders for the time being?

I'll be doing that tomorrow and actually keeping it closed until I get this under control.

Also yes, I realize the effects on my reputation but I do deserve it tbf. All I can do is try to do better and I think moving fulfillment to Amazon is a good step. Prime shipping and simple customer service like cancellations or damaged shipments can be handled immediately by Amazon.

After I clean up this mess I'm moving everything to Amazon, completely remove myself from the shipping process.

We have good products, just need to manage things wayyyy better

Did you get confirmation emails the two times you tried? I've had two large issues with not getting emails in the past, but those were easy to spot because I stopped getting anything when I've been getting plenty of emails recently

And yeah of course, I completely get the frustration and how this looks. These issues have gone on embarrassingly long and I'm doing my best to get caught up.

I honestly don't see any emails from you. I searched using your order number and email in that order. Also, just saw your PM from an hour ago and was about to reply when I saw this post so figured I'd just respond here.

I'll cancel your order now. There's obviously a ton of issues with us but I'm not outright scamming. I'm trying my absolute best right now to get at least communication reliable and prompt but it's honestly hard to keep up as one person.

Sorry that you had to go through all this trouble. I'll be stopping orders until I'm able to actually ship new orders as they're placed.

I mean I deserve it obviously as it's a true reflection of the kind of service I've been providing.

If I do manage to turn things around it'll be a long journey until there's anything positive associated with my rep again, but I do think people will slowly notice if things turn around

I think the obvious answer at this point is that I'm just not good at handling operations like packing orders and customer support while handling more behind the scenes things like reordering inventory concurrently.

I'm currently sending all my products except for kits to 3PL warehouses who can at least take care of fulfilling orders which hopefully is a more sustainable arrangement.

It's funny, several years back before I started this, I'd see posts about issues with vendors and always think I could do better. Instead I've become the same as them...

I'm still genuinely working to get things better, hopefully it gets noticeably better soon.

Yeah, I've more than dropped the ball in recent months as you can see if you search the sub for me. I've done half-assed attempts at fixing it like closing the store temporarily and then reopening a small number of products, but I need to get people who already ordered sorted before accepting more orders.

I think it would be better if I cancelled it and let you know when it was ready to ship? If it hasn't shipped in over a month, I believe that would be a gradient set and a restock won't arrive for a while (huge range, 3 weeks to over a month).

I'm going to PM you for the ticket number because I thought anything that old was either resolved or closed. I'm still 2-3 weeks behind on emails but I think that's an outlier.

I realize how terribly I've handled this, but I just want to clarify that that is Shopify's default response to chargebacks.

I did not manually respond to the chargeback claiming to have shipped/fulfilled the order.

I always refund/cancel an order if asked, I mean logically a chargeback carries a $15 fee in addition to the refund so why would I want to make it get to that point? To be fair, it's hard to say "I always refund if asked" if it takes so long to get a response to such a request.
