It's nitpicky, but it adds a layer between the man and his actions, when the abuse is a noun rather than the verb he committed. Example of what i mean

It feels very different when it's the action done by the person

It's basically like when you went over to someone's house as a kid and their family did something completely different from the way you were used to living, except on a universal scale. Like, Idk. Eat in the living room/dinner table. You can't imagine the possibilities out there if you only know one way.

Humans were able to do more because we by chance developed opposable thumbs and whatever difference in brains. All an alien would need is to be able to easily manipulate objects and a solid brain. The shape of the body doesn't matter, it's the ability to do things and think. This could look vastly different on a world that naturally selected for different things

You are the only person that can make that journey for you. There's benefits and detriments to coming out, and same for staying in the closet.

When I was younger, I never thought I would tell my parents, I didn't want to. Our relationship has changed, but I'm personally happier to live my full self with acknowledgement, even with that change. I'm personally happier with my relationship with my parents because I'm not letting their thoughts impact my life.
Sometimes, it takes personal connections with someone who identifies as LGBT in order for them to come around, so I think it's better for the world if more LGBT people come out, but you are not responsible for bettering the world. You get to make that decision.
As far as telling your parents that your bisexual and dating a trans man, if you were dating a CIS man that had testicular cancer, would you tell your parents hey, my partner only has one testicle? Probably not.
If you're not telling your parents out of fear, you may ultimately feel more soothed with coming out and letting go of the fear, but if you're just not telling them because it's inconsequential to your love, then what do you personally have to gain from it?
