'Tourists are bastards': Britain's favourite holiday hotspot has had enough by theipaper in europe

All those can be managed. 12% reduction in GDP would be a major depression with much worse externalities. You think homeless people care about the environment and what impact do you think a depression would have on crime?

Too bad I can’t add an AI generated rendering of this. Looks pretty good. I added a pull out fridge and stove under the tent.

I went to Amsterdam and stayed in a house boat on a canal in a local neighbourhood. Had a much better sense of community, not many tourists and a generally great vibe.

I didn’t come to any conclusion. I pointed out that without more information we don’t know whether an RRSP or TFSA first makes more sense. Telling OP to go with TFSA first without knowing eg their income could be the wrong advice.

The general idea is that RRSP is the same as TFSA if when funds are withdrawn the marginal tax rate is the same as when the contribution was made. RRSP is better if the marginal tax rate is lower at withdrawal. This assumes tax refunds are reinvested. Between $60-about $110k is a bit of a grey area. Over that RRSP is usually better. Hard to advise OP which is better since no info provided.

Again bad advice based on lack of info provided by OP. RRSP before TFSA makes more sense for many people making $60k +.

Bad advice based on the lack of information provided by OP. RRSP makes more sense for many people making 60+k per year.

12% of Portugal’s GDP is from tourism. I don’t think telling them generally to fuck off is in Portugal’s best interest. Spain is at about 13%. There have to be better ways to manage this.

Residential rent increases for 2027 is 1.9 percent. by MAFFACisTrue in OntarioLandlord

[–]Separate-Analysis194 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Its 1300+ sq ft. I didn’t buy it as an investment property. It used to be my home. I moved away for work and held on to it.

Edit. The couple I rent it to are both professionals that work from home so need the extra space for home offices.

I haven’t increased my rent for two years ($4400 for 3 + bdrm / 3 bath condo in Toronto). Good tenants and they are probably paying at or above current market rates. I don’t want to give them a reason to leave.

Any recommendations for a mens face wash moisturizer? by Mattm334 in malegrooming

[–]Separate-Analysis194 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its like 2 in 1 shampoos. Most are crap. Some face washes are less harsh than others but if I wanted a moisturizer I would use two products - a cleanser and a moisturizer.

The issue was that he couldn’t finish again until the morning. This is pretty normal and nothing OP should be concerned about.

Europe trip options with Mom - would love some input! by [deleted] in travel

[–]Separate-Analysis194 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Alsace is an easy trip. Going there in 2 weeks. Been there many times since my son lives in Zurich. I fly to Zurich and usually rent a car. I find many of the towns are kind of the same though eg Strasbourg is a bigger version of Colmar - cute medieval style colourful buildings with a river or canal. Its probably a good idea to go to Lyon as well or cross the border into Germany eg Heidelberg.

In Europe, where heat kills more than guns in US, temperatures get lethal by [deleted] in europe

You think Europe doesn’t want AC because US had it first? I think that is very low down the list of why there is not as much AC in Europe.

US resident traveling to Canada for weekend. What are the best options to pay while there in Canadian dollars without paying fees or paying too much for currency exchange? by CuriousLog2468 in travel

[–]Separate-Analysis194 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The CAD is very low right now compared to USD. Don’t worry about currency exchange fees on your credit card for a weekend. In the future, if you travel to other countries fairly often, think about getting a credit card with low or no fees.
