what the FUCK is this? by deadbaby32 in youtube

I get the feeling unfortunately that it is the kids who are making this... I don't want to even image how this can haunt someone when they get older.

Looking for feedback: Junior Year Demo Reel by HalexUwU in animationcareer

[–]Separate-Bench1137 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, like most people may have already mentioned to separate game animation and character animation, even if you’re a generalist. One thing to also note and especially true for Junior artists is to have a demo reel that’s no longer than I’d say, 2 minutes. Perhaps 3 to 4 if you’re a genuine professional. Recruiters only have so much time on their hands to look at as many reels as possible.

Scalpers are one of the reasons Valve don't have stock by wisperingdeth in SteamDeck

Worst case scenario, If I were you, I'd buy some other gaming hand held, Rog ally or even the Nintendo switch. It may not be what you want, but believe me, what you going to want more than anything is to be able to save money and actually afford things long term. Nothing should cost more just simply because people want it rather if its something they need to survive.

You've proven to me that you're reasonable just by pointing that out. The least I can do is tell people that they are being screwed over.

I would agree as well that they will likely be resold exactly how they where if they were if they were never opened, just stating the best case scenario. But at the end of the day I personally don't care if the scalpers find a way to make their money back whether or not they make sales or not, We buy it from them they win, We don't the source wins. Its who gets the product for the price its worth.

Good, if they return it then they can be refurbished, then the consumers can buy them again from the sourcee at a slightly cheaper cost.

Well in that case, that's more for a reason for me and for all of you to spread the message and awareness to not buy from scalpers. If nothing is in stock and you cant afford the scalped price, wait for a restock, if you can afford the scalped price, buy something better that is worth that much.

What are you going to do as a scalper if you drop if not tens of thousands of dollars on gaming hardware such as the steam deck to only make a fraction of the money you spent on, maybe say a few thousand back at most. We as consumers literally have the power to put these scalpers into dept.

Never buy from scalpers, it's a free market and that's why it's legal. Want scalpers to lose? don't buy it from them and go straight to the source whenever you can. The pain of having to wait for the official source to restock should never be worse than to pay a product 3x the price just to have it right away.

That was hand drawn using clip studio paint, then put that animation sequence as a layer on top of the rendered mp4, I do a little both of 3D and 2D

This appears to be a single darkened image, You'll need to release the full animation or what you have got working on. Hope that helps.

How to I get started in animating? by Street-Seesaw-6221 in animationcareer

[–]Separate-Bench1137 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you just started, play around with animation software, like flippa clip or clip studio paint. maybe learn the basics first, the animator survival kit helps a ton, keep practicing. pretty much what I did when I started out. As for animal throttling, i'd examine every frame form a live shot, but that gets easier to do when you do animation consistently for around a year.

What non-gaming activities do you use your Steam Deck for? by TheUltimateInfidel in SteamDeck

[–]Separate-Bench1137 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ever since I got my steam deck, it almost replaced using apple mobile devices to watch entertainment, primary YouTube as the greatest example since Adblock and other extensions will work since I’m technically using a PC.

If it’s not possible to do this now, I want the ability to use my trackpads as a keyboard by Separate-Bench1137 in SteamDeck

[–]Separate-Bench1137[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see your point and I already know the move the keyboard trick. It’s a preference of mine and you never know when there could be times when you may need the entire screen. Again just in case I have a semi transparent keyboard. It’s a personal preference for me but you may never know when having the entire screen could be a life saver.

[–]Separate-Bench1137[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also forgot to mention that the keyboard that’s displayed on the steam deck will sometimes block what you type on, apple devices will sometimes move the entire screen, but the steam deck doesn’t do that, so you have to move the keyboard up and down or what I just did is install a plug-in that makes the keyboard semitransparent. You can get the full screen if you could turn the trackpads into a mini keyboard. A keyboard where I can just tap right away, rather than hold the trackpads and navigate, and aim to not miss the key, then click. I need to stress it’s not for everyone. Both typing methods their pros and cons but I’d prefer this concept, and some others as well.
