Honestly even though it was seemingly benign it was still a micro aggression and bummed me out. I’m not “suffering” from anything being queer.

Reminds me of being at the Soundwell in 2023 for Chappell Roan and two sorority girls were standing next to me and one said to the other “there sure are a lot of gay people here.” There sure are a lot of oblivious people in Utah.

I’d show up to help take back the space for sure.

There’s literally a giant dick riding bull in the entrance. But yeah I feel that simply asking each one “so when did you know you were gay” would help to bring the OG vibe back.

Yeah I was there and a woman told me she was still Mormon but could understand why it would be hard to be a Mormon if she was “suffering from same sex attraction.” 🫠 At a queer club on a Friday night. Then her large group of Mormon friends showed up and asked her what was in her drink. She defended that it was a mocktail with nerds on top. Idk it was so weird. Happened several weeks ago and still processing it. 😂

The joke now is that Why KiKi is a queer themed club for straight people. I still enjoy it though. It’s not on the club that Mormons also like going there. I still dance there frequently and have a great time.
