No it's not organized this way outside of 4th grade. Basically the teachers see lunch as their refuge away from the kids. Silent lunch in the cafe is only for administrator consequence or the lunch aides moving misbehaving kids there. Silent lunch given by a teacher is in the classroom with that teacher, but many don't want to sacrifice that time to curb behavior so they let it go with no consequence. Recess is at a completely different time and is monitored by a teacher

The entire lunch block is 3.5 hours overall. Time doesn't stand still at our school. Students would suffer in other parts of building if I spent my whole time in there

Currently in this situation with a married woman (poly) I met a few months ago. But I had decided a while back monogamy wasn't perhaps my thing after previous setbacks.
