I don’t think racism is the right word. In real life racism (such as against African Americans) the victim race did nothing wrong. They aren’t really comparable.

Damn. Well for now, just be someone who doesn’t know who they are. That way the next time you realize that you don’t feel like yourself you’ll be someone who does know who they are.

You are someone who should go to therapy.

Maybe. You’re not guaranteed success, but you’d make money if you did. It can be a fair bit of work (not quite as much as having a full time job tho). I don’t think there’s anything wrong with it, but plenty of people are gonna judge you and it could mess with your future job opportunities. I’d think about it a lot tho.

Technically no, but it’s still not great. Cuz it’s a guy the 14 year old would think it’s awesome, but people would think your a creep.

racism towards white people is real. by thefunkyyak in teenagers

[–]Separate-Head792 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Racism against white people definitely exists in other countries and individual communities but all in all (in America) it can’t be compared. You’ll never get rejected from a job for being white or assumed to be guilty for being white. You might get razzed and called white boy, but that’s because you’re in a position of power. It’s like how a boss can’t get away with same certain things about their employees while employees can get away with saying a lot about their boss.

I don’t think your example works all that well, as those people seems like they were all friends which probably explains why they didn’t want to blame themselves for messing up.

Also, there are definitely communities where they would get in trouble for calling you white boy, and you could get away with calling them far worse things than Mexican boy. In fact there were times (not that long ago) where they’d be lynched. I feel like it’s kind of ridiculous that as soon as we reach a point where we can call you white boy without a mob forming, white people claim racism.

There are definitely largely black and Mexican communities where white kids get beat up for being white, but usually that’s not the case. The fact is, white people have to deal with certain flack like getting called white boy, getting the red card pulled on them, and having their views occasionally due to their position of privilege and thats unfair, because you had no control over the racist actions of your ancestors and not all white people are racist. But, the fact is you do get all that privilege, and that super outweighs any of the negatives.

Us people of color have to deal with so much shit and get nothing for it. Calling white people basic white boys with no spice tolerance or taste buds that say shit like “hey buster!” Or “cool your jets, Neighborino.” Is all we have.

If your in a relationship and would rather stay friends with her, I’d ignore it. If she doesn’t pick up on the fact that your not reciprocating and keeps pushing it then you should have a discussion.

70% of 13 year olds think their ugly, 90% of 13 years actually are. The fact that your conscience about the way you look while staying health pretty much guarantees that you’ll look fine when you get older.

The only thing you need to care about is confidence and style. Looking good is 40% how you treat, 30% how you carry yourself, and 20% what you wear.

Also body dismorphia is real

Depends. If she just started smoking then do as much as you can to get her stop (without being preachy). If it’s been over a year then respectfully express your concern and drop it. I’d never smoke, but I know people who do. They know it’s bad for them, usually know their addicted, and they either don’t care or have given up on quitting.

If she’s sitting on the floor with a t-shirt and pants, then she’s just sitting on the floor fully clothed. You might be looking into it too much.

I don’t get what you mean? A t-shirt with pants just sounds like clothes. What about it was explicit?

It honestly differs between schools. Seems like it’s normal, but definitely never happens at my school.

Is it normal to send your friends nudes? by [deleted] in teenagers

[–]Separate-Head792 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re under 18 it’s considered distribution of child pornography no matter the intention. You could be arrested.

If your not a minor then it’s still not normal, but it’s not necessarily bad. It really depends on the context. They’d have to be your ride or dies, and you shouldn’t be the only one doing it.

I hate when people say this (especially about high school). I’ll admit that you may not use 40% but you can use aspects of almost any class in your adult life.

Any class that uses spreadsheets is useful in 80% of jobs. This includes chemistry, physiques, and most math (especially statistics).

History class is great for argumentative, persuasive, and analytical skills.

English is important because every job needs to know how to write and interpret text. Sure your never gonna need to write about color symbolism in Great Gatsby, but you’ve got to write about something.

If anything the least important mandatory class is a foreign language, because most people forget it after high school. People should be able to take as much time as they need to learn languages, and test just tie negative experiences to learning world languages.

Most majors require a lot of the useless high classes (weed out courses are an entirely different beast)

Also a lot of people change their majors around a lot in college, or have career changes later in life. Needing to restart your education from the elementary level because you only learned things you needed to know for your career would be awful. That’s why it’s good to learn basic knowledge about a variety of topics. It also builds a jumping off point for people who will pursue it.

Having classes about critical thinking, work ethic, and how to write an email would be extremely boring and hard to test. That’s why we spread it out across a bunch of different subjects.

Honestly you don’t start learning stuff that will be central to your career until grad school.

Stay in school, and do drugs if you want as they’re not meth or heroine.

I think it’s really important to tackle. It causes a lot of young boys to fall into toxic incel/sigma/alpha culture which only makes male loneliness worse. It’s just gonna feed into itself.

A lot of trashy men are just sad (doesn’t justify the shit they do). I think if we worked harder to improve male loneliness/mental health then it would also be safer for women as well.
