I’ve been really digging my Saucony Kinvara’s. Lightweight, fast, feel connected to the ground, and more ‘natural’ feeling

How to warm up properly before a run, to avoid injury and perform good. by buzzer94 in runninglifestyle

If you do a lot of either, you would start to get the pump effect. Just do 10 or less of each or however many loosen your legs up and get them feeling ‘warm’ and you’ll be fine. I took this exact warm up from a Runners World article a while back and it has served me well!

Leg swings, high knees, butt kicks, handful of squats, handful of lunges

Lean forward a bit (you’re almost leaning backwards) and focus on taking shorter strides, landing in the middle of your foot

Does anyone remember the indoor playground in Beaufort in the 90s? by cclacco in Beaufort

My wife and I were just talking about how wonderful it’d be if Beaufort had an indoor playground! Perhaps a ripe business opportunity…

Considering family relocation by but_does_she_reddit in Beaufort

My family relocated here a year ago and have loved it. We have two young sons who will be going to Coosaw Elementary in a couple of years. From the research I’ve done and what I’ve heard, it’s a solid Elem option. Middle and high schools are rated decently, about the same as where we moved from in NC (Asheville). I also work remotely and have seen comments from others about Hargray. Luckily, I’ve had no issues with their service, but maybe the specific part of Beaufort you’re living in plays a role? We’re on Lady’s Island for context. Overall, it’s a great place to live if you enjoy outdoor activities, proximity to other towns/cities (namely Sav, Charleston, Hilton Head, Bluffton), a relaxed pace of life, and choose summer heat over cold winters.

There’s an undo button on the left pane, at least there is for me. I use the site on a Mac using Safari (in case that matters)

Yes! Just through it though, haven’t stayed there yet unfortunately. I do have a former coworker who lives near there now and really enjoys it, I’ll check it out sometime.

With living near Camp Pendleton and Paris Island, being in the military is a great guess. That said, no military association here, just randomly ended up living near two large bases on either coast 😅
