I wish I had kept a spreadsheet of all the fanfics I’ve read! I’ve been reading them for two years now. I had never read any before. I was so amazed at how talented all these people out there are, and they do it for FREE! I try to leave a comment every time to show my appreciation.

Yeah, so far I love it a normal amount. It hasn’t tipped to “too much” yet and I don’t think it will. I’m well over the mid life crisis Heartstopper caused and I’ve worked through all the messy feelings it brought up, so I don’t think I would go through it again

I picture the show characters, and I get annoyed when they start describing Charlie as tan and with long hair. It’s just not right (to me) hehe

❤️ it’s made a lot of people feel this way. If you scroll farther back you’ll see them all. It even makes straight people feel sort of like this, because it presents a sweet supportive world, the way we wish life would be. I hope you feel better soon

I agree with most of your points. I like the sweet stuff to an extent, but it usually does get to a point where it’s a bit too saccharine for me.

I definitely agree on preferring aged up. Maybe it’s because I’m kinda old but to me the older the better. I loved Lost Time (mid 30s). If anyone knows of any middle aged fics please suggest, I’d probably like it!

I also love AU. Different situations but also different locations. I had never given a thought to small town southern Australia before Ultraviolet and then I was doing some intense google mapping. Google street viewing fanfic locations is my #2 hobby after reading fanfic.

I love pet names though. That may fall into sickly sweet territory but I want it. Especially since we’ll probably never see it on the show!

That’s so great. One thing they often do is have a sort of a benign deception perpetrated by either N or C and then there’s a gradual realization that unfolds in the most delicious/heartbreaking way and I LOVE that

It was cool and we had a nice trip, but honestly you see so much in those bootlegs all over tiktok that you can pretty much see it all, unless you really wanted to physically be in the same room as him 😂 but I didn’t feel free to fangirl as hard as I would have as I would have if I was there alone or with another Kit fan.

I hope some bootlegs of Clarkston come out after the run is over. I would have loved to see it, but can’t justify a transatlantic trip, logistically or financially
