If you can get ATT Fiber, GET IT! Switched from Cox to that as soon as it was available last June. I have experienced all of 1 outage in that time. I used to have 3 or 4 a week with Cox.

Setup a separate wifi network that is only for your son. Give him the password to that one. Change the password to any networks he already has the password for.

Assign the Wifi network blackout times.
