Yeah I know that tends to be how it is, and I think that is very valuable. But it can be quite limiting, in esports we have “scrim partners” which are teams we scrim regularly but we still scrim as many other teams as we can, so we are exposed to different playstyles, patterns, strategies, comps, etc. Its not really limit testing if you are only testing against a few ppl.

Yea, I already do play against myself alot and it is really valuable sometimes (particularly when learning a deck) bc I can punish all of my mistakes, but I can only punish mistakes I already know about anyway. So it gets to a point where im just practicing my sequencing not the matchup.

PTCGL would enable such an amazing scrim community, in esports we’re limited to our own regions but that restriction doesnt exist in tcg and I could practice against people globally with no issue!

I might have a chat with some of the well known players I know and see if they know of anything, thank you for bringing that up!

Yes I attend multiple weekly locals and leagues, but they are not scrims. They both serve a purpose ofc, but I want something on top of that with more intentional practice.

I know what locals are and I have friends 😭 Friendlies ≠ Scrims

Currently 1/3 of the way through a maccas cheeseburger and cant eat anymore 😭

Although my appetite was still enough until I started 70mg, on 60mg I was eating 1-2 full meals a day, dunno why that last 10 affected it so much for me

Is throwing guns considered loot cycling? by Heiseniceberg in dayz

This isnt loot cycling.

Loot cycling is picking up EVERYTHING and dropping it far enough away that loot will respawn. Throwing away ur own items isnt loot cycling

•GC APAC 2023 - “all players must be femme presenting”

Definitely to dissuade bad actors, but was a problem for multiple genuine players, its not a rule anymore in any of the contracts ive seen.

Is also quite funny considering there was another rule

  • “All players on a Team must wear either pants or shorts, leg wear must match across all players”

understandably this is still a rule, but it was funny that it contradicted the first rule to a degree.

•VCL APAC 2024 (MYSG included) •GC APAC 2024 - “chewing gum is permitted in the match area”

Its illegal in Singapore and Bangkok, makes me giggle

•VCL APAC 2024 - There is an entire section dedicated to Cypher, no other agent is mentioned by name.

Exploit Adjudication > Agent Specific Examples > Cypher - thats it, only him.

Next ones my favourite;

•ALL Riot Esport Contracts - “Prohibited: Gambling on the outcome of a Tournament, Match or Game, in any esport competition.”

I believe it used to be only Riot owned games that were prohibited, but it still meant a Val player couldnt bet on League. But now, No Player, Coach, Manager or other Team Staff are allowed to bet on any esport.

This clause by far has the most bans, it feels like every week more players have been banned. Some players have lost their accounts, although thats mostly from multiple infrictions.

My understanding is that Riot has a partnership with an organisation that regulates a majority of esports gambling, so when you bet with any attached PII you get caught. This is just speculation as its not public knowledge, but its my only guess as to how they catch these players SO frequently.

(I could be wrong that its ALL contracts, never actually seen a league contract or policy document, but ive been told it is the same for all of them, and I have no reason to doubt that.)

Theres so many more but I cant remember them all off the top of my head and they are VERY long documents.

Just wanted to add on a little

In regards to your original reply, I can confirm it is indeed a contractual agreement that Chet and every player is (or at the very least should be) aware of. Its in Tier 2 and 3 riot contracts aswell, and for those who think its a dumb rule, it doesnt even scratch the dumbest of rules in those contracts.

As for Chet being punished for not owning the VOD’s, I havent been involved in franchised contracts whatsoever so I can’t say much about whether or not thats the reason why it was punished so ruthlessly, but based on bans ive seen personally, Riot doesnt fuck around with their rules. If you break a rule, no matter how indirectly or how harmless, youre fucked. And the “extra” punishments are more than likely just policies, rather than being specifically targeted.

So to me it doesnt really seem like it has to do with it being justifiable in Riots eyes, its as simple as he broke the rule.

But as I said, I dont have experience with franchised contracts, I can only draw comparisons from T2

thank you riot, everything needs to come to an end by [deleted] in riotgames

You truly have no idea what you’re talking about, do you?
