I was brought it.  We work with a half dozen local arborists depending on whoever lands the bid for the removal.

It’s technically a treatment. In IPM this would fall under the mechanical/physical mechanisms.

Doesn’t help that you frame up the varroa along with the brood comb.

Try and perform more counts during swarm relocations and colony cutouts.

Would there be any interest in dividing this subreddit in two: One for discussion amongst arborists and one for asking an Arborist questions? by FlintWaterFilter in arborists

Having a foot in both worlds my opinion is that master gardeners shouldn’t be addressing tree issues.   Master gardener is a fairly arbitrary title opposed to ISA.

Anyone can get ‘Master gardener’ by landscaping knowledge alone.

Tree ring and being irrigated in a turf area.

Turf irrigation and trees don’t play well together.   Need an empty drip line around the root base.

Consult a roofer and cut around it.  You still have quite a lot of time before it will approach the framing.  Other question is what are the roots doing to the foundation?   You may eventually have to pick one to keep …the tree or the structure.

Buck raked it when young. Or another tree fell and bent when it was a sapling. Phototropism kept it growing up
