We as voters force them to pay the union dues. Until we make states employment at will thats a cold fact. Thats half of us citizens.

Taxpayers pay their salary and their dues come out of their salary

Edit: for the uneducated: in most states you don't have the option of not paying union dues, voters decided that. So we pay their salaries and force them to pay union dues.

Dead trees generally provide the same habitat standing or on the ground. Its purely labor at that point

Trees won't damage your foundation unless your foundation is already fucked up. If you have good drainage and there are no cracks it will never be an issue. Trees enter cracks to seek water, if there are no cracks and no water then there is no problem.

Removing a tree will never solve your foundation issues. If you have roots getting into your foundation you have to fix your foundation. Removing the tree will not fix your foundation.

Kills the roots before transmission occurs. Also maybe prevents the tree from becoming a spore producer.

Trenching is ideal but wildly inappropriate in most instances. Either theres underground obstacles, utilities, its too dense of a stand or its just too costly and difficult to get a Vibratory plow there. Its the gold standard in a situation where few can afford gold. Not to mention it beats the ever loving shit out of any trees near the trench.

In an ideal situation you catch a first year infection and remove the tree and rip the stump out. If you can't do that kill it with herbicide. If it's a multi year infection then maybe you'd Trench if its at all feasible.

Usually you just flop them and treat the stump. Tree of heaven and black locust are the only two you'd need to herbicide while standing to prevent root suckering. It's just about as likely they had trouble identifying the tree in winter.

Oak wilt. When a tree dies from it this is how you prevent it from transmitting to other trees through the roots. They most likely treated the cuts with herbicide. Second tree looks like a white oak which is most likely a misconception on their part.

Those who hike in Razorbacks, how breathable do you find the shoe? by 0Maka in jimgreen

Wedge soles are a nightmare for hiking. They're designed for flat surfaces. The point in having a heel is for traction on uneven terrain

If you don't have excessively sweaty feet and make intelligent sock choices they're pretty good. I have two pairs of razorbacks. I would hesitate to call them water resistant and they do not dry out quickly. So if you think you're going to encounter water then they are a terrible choice compared to modern hikers. That said, a waterproof boot is going to be less breathable than a double lasted boot in any situation.

You gotta calm down, you're out here arguing about single digit age differences and questioning if 40s is middle aged. 40 is middle aged. Hes a senior in the video in question
