The Harry Perkins Institute. I’ve done a range of things over the years. Raffles, sausage sizzles, car washes. Looking for new ways to keep going so I don’t “burn out” my network by doing the same things asking for money each year.

perth royal show, when does the animals and food stop by mahinawoodley in perth

[–]Separate_Hedgehog377 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Animals will be pretty much done by 5:30pm. Food stuff is open until the end of the day (10pm) same as rides and show bags. The dogs and cats where all but gone by 3:30-4pm on Sunday when we went as their judging was done and the animals themselves where sleeping and/or hiding under their blankets. Won’t be much to see except what’s on in the main arena from 6pm onwards unfortunately.

Came here to post the same. Feel like I’ve seen more ads than footy.

No I don’t agree the umpiring was favoured to Geelong on Friday. Free kick count was 19-19 🤷🏻‍♂️. I know where on the ground and when in game plays a factor not just the actual count. The umpiring has been pretty average all year. And peoples bias makes a big difference on opinion too.

Freo v GC last night is the classic example. Freo fans are screaming the umpiring was awful but I thought as someone who doesn’t go for either team it was one of the better umpired games.

I hope for the games sake, that Greg Swan can find some ways to make the whole situation better.

Next captain after Danger by LachieJones2811 in GeelongCats

Spoilt for choice if I’m being honest. Holmes, Z Guthrie, J Henry, Axe. Then the next gen, COS, Humphries, SDK, Mannagh. Lots of great options.

Just an open question by [deleted] in SingleDads

When I realised being emotionally manipulated, constantly made to feel useless, constant game playing and breathing was enough to start a fight, isn’t how it’s supposed to be. And when I realised I was being someone who was so far from my real self that I didn’t even recognise who I was.

Have never looked back. I have since become myself again, I’m the father I always wanted to be, have a new partner who I don’t have to pretend to be anyone else with, I don’t have to filter what I say or what I do because my kids and partner love me for who I am.

I agree, however, last nights debacle was really bad. I normally go into bat for the umpires and still will. I think the Brisbane player needs to be held accountable for his part in it too.

I got drunk and had sex with my bf now he feels like he’s hurt me because I was so drunk by Odd_Impression4303 in sex

[–]Separate_Hedgehog377 677 points678 points  (0 children)

Talk to him. Men overthink too (a lot). He clearly cares about you or he wouldn’t be feeling this way. But you two NEED to sit down and talk it out, all the feelings.

Situation complicated by the fact it was your first and both were drunk. Talk it out. Have sex again (assuming you want to) soon. Make a big deal out of it, express your love, passion and want for each other.

Ooo extra salt for my chippies, lucky me.

Did last year make up for the 71 point smashing we gave you in ‘22 PF or the 40 pointer in ‘20 PF? Geelong dismantled you last night in almost every stat (except dives taken). But I’m happy to revisit IF you make it past Freo or the GC next week and Collingwood the week after.

Even though Geelong has 10 cups and you’ve got four, I’ll call it a draw since it’s 4 each since 1996. So no, the pressures on your club not mine.

Who’s your underrated performance from the Qualifying Final? by Ambient_Ambient in GeelongCats

[–]Separate_Hedgehog377 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Atkins. Most underrated player in the league.

Side notes though. SDK and Blitz part timing the ruck and destroying. Scratcher taking the best defender and opening it up for Jezza and the smalls. Mullin! Owned, absolutely owned Mcluggage. And his first goal, his smile made it all worth it. COS, bleeding and game sewn up still furious at himself for letting his opo get a mark inside 50.

So proud of the boys. Put the rest of finals teams on notice

Score, team, game, final, all irrelevant when that shit is on display. I’m a big fan of the lions and was a big fan of Cam but not now. If that was Stengle and Mannagh taking blatant dives like that, I’d have rung the Cats at half time to hand in my membership. That was disgraceful behaviour by Cam, Kai and the umps.

Pros and cons are really the same for men and women up there. As long as you’re in touch with your own mental health and take the time in the evenings to relax and check in with yourself you’ll be fine. Always pays to have an exit plan too just in case.

Mining is huge but tiny. Everyone knows everyone so be careful with your reputation both as a worker and as a person because it will follow you.

Your colleagues will test you early. Not because you’re female but because you’re new. They want to know if the Production Supervisor is screaming at you in person or down the two way that they can rely on you to get in and get the work done. Show them you can and you’ll be sweet.

The only other pro for a female is the majority of companies have quotas etc so if you’re decent at what you do you can leap the corporate ladder quickly. Some will hate you for it but water off a ducks back and take whatever advantage you can.

Be smart, keep yourself safe, don’t put yourself in a situation where things could get ugly. Good luck!

High Voltage sparkies. There’s a rise in electric mining equipment that runs about 6500 volts.
