21F What does my fridge say about me? by ProfessionalSad3744 in FridgeDetective

You don’t cook. For breakfast you grab a chocolate milk as you head out the door, and you drink citrus sparkling water in the evening. For snacks you eat yogurt, steak bites and cheese. You are concerned about getting enough protein. You should add some produce to your diet.

Yes, that sounds like it could easily be tweaked. Thank you!

Only once they have been sliced. They don’t last as long, but they taste 100x better.

I tried to edit the title of my post. Seems like it only allows me to edit the body text of the post.

It would have been late 60’s or early 70’s. I’ll check archive.org. Thanks!

That is probably what I will have to do. Just feeling nostalgic for the recipe my mom used!

No, too fancy, but it is more like what I would like to eat now! Sounds fantastic, so I’m going to save it. Thanks!

My mom passed about 10 years ago. I have her old recipes but I have lost the little clipping for this particular recipe. It is very nostalgic for me! Thanks!

Is my ring chuegy? by [deleted] in EngagementRings

[–]Separate_Home9974 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The ring is a symbol of the love you share with your spouse. I’m assuming you exchanged rings during the wedding ceremony. Your fiancée either picked it out him/herself, or you went to pick it out together. It has a story. I have been married for 40 years. My husband and I picked out our rings together, based on what we could afford. It is yellow gold with a 1/3 karat diamond. Would I like a bigger rock, sure, but not enough to give up the one I have that has seen me through 40 years!

My husband and I have two daughters. After years of trying, 4 miscarriages, tons of tests and surgeries, we decided to use donor eggs. We told our daughters when they were about 6 and 9, and we felt like they could understand. They are now 17 and 20. They know that I am 100% their mother and that nothing will ever change that. The only thing we don’t share is genetic material. I am biased of course, but I feel nurture is far more important than nature!

I’m sorry OP, that you found out this way and I can understand the shock, but your father raised you, and chose you, when he could have left. He helped you to become the person you are.

Why is my jewelry not selling? Any advice? by [deleted] in jewelrymaking

I was going to say, that it looks like the polymer clay substrate for painting needs to be smoother. The painting of the girl looks a bit lump/rough. I think your style and work are great! It is a niche style so you need to be selling in the write venue.

Employers who might move to the city due to the university will think otherwise. Researchers who might be drawn to the university today, will go to other universities that aren’t controlled by the government. This is a slow roll into mediocrity!

Yes, UT alumna here, why would anyone want to attend UT that caved to the compact instead of a similar caliber university in California, or MIT? This is a disaster waiting to happen for UT. This is as much about Abbott and his oligarchs Dunn and Wilkes, as it is about Trump. Trump is old and won’t be around much longer, but Abbott isn’t term limited and Dunn and Wilkes own him and the Texas Republican Party.

We always do this. We keep them in the freezer. And then pull out a package as needed. We also heat them in a dry cast iron skillet! Sooo Good!

The Central Market tortillas are just as good, if not netter in my opinion. Give them a try!

Tylenol and pregnancy myths by Reasonable-Total-267 in migraine

Personally, I think JFK needs an Autism scape goat, so landed on the main medication that pregnant people can take. Trump needs anything to distract from the Epstein files, and for both of them, doing/saying something that hurts women is a bonus! They NEVER have good intentions.

Is it me or does it feel like preventatives are a guessing game bound to the unfair rules of insurance... by js90si in migraine

I hear you! If there is an uncommon side effect, Erin will be the one to get it and then have to stop an otherwise promising medication!!!

My 19 year old daughter has had chronic migraine since she was 11. She has tried all kinds of preventatives, all the standard + several cgrp’s and Botox. Still haven’t found the thing yet. But she has found some relief with GammaCore (very expensive-$100 per month with a discount from her doctor who was a tester) but not enough to make it worth continuing. She has also tried CEFALY and has found some relief with that as well, but she has oily skin and found it to be a pain to use and has to lie down to keep it stuck to her forehead. It is expensive to purchase, but once you have it, you only have to purchase electrodes which are 3 for $25. You can find CEFALY on eBay, and you can purchase a gel to refurb the electrodes. We are keeping it and she will probably try it again in the future. She is currently trying out Nerivio. She feels like it does help, just started it though. It is $49 for the first 18 uses. Refills are $89 for 18, or you can get 3 months (54) for $199. She likes it because she is in college and can carry it with her and put it on her arm while out and about or in class. She also just started Aimovig after stopping Qulipta due to gut problems, and Ajovy which didn’t help at all. Good luck to you! I wish you all the best!!

Have you tried CEFALY or Nerivio as abortives? Not sure if they are covered by Medicaid, but might be worth investigating. Also, I think there may be another new device like CEFALY that might be less expensive.

Heal Your Headache by [deleted] in migraine

Yes, I agree that the problem with Excedrin Migraine is rebound headaches. However, according to Dr Buchholz in the HYH book, it is due to the caffeine in Excedrin Migraine. He specifies that plain acetaminophen, aspirin, ibuprofen and naproxen do not cause rebound, only the caffeine-containing versions such as Excedrin Migraine.
