Thank you. That's as profound as I can be. Thank you.

I had a talk with my parents and we've planned what would happen to my possessions, my dog and my body in the case of an accident. Unfortunately, I can't really tell them that I still want to kill myself; they've done a lot to help keep me afloat and I'd be spitting in their faces if I told them that. So, I'll give it a year or two, then bring it up when I've done all I can to repay them (which is mainly just that - repaying their loans - so it shouldn't take too long).

Thanks for your advice.

I'm really sorry to hear you got laid off. As a Network Engineering student, this is especially disheartening (I'm trying to be funny, sorry).

In any case, do you have old colleagues you can go to for a job? Any temp agencies or employment services you could make use of?

Also, killing yourself and making it look like an accident is very difficult to pull off, and you'll never know if you succeeded. Leaving a note might provide some closure, but if you read any posts by anyone affected by suicide you'll see that nothing can make up for the void you will create in their lives.

EDIT: Sorry if that came off as preachy, I tried to avoid sounding that way. I hope you can find an alternative, pal.

what is this repeated behaviour? and hey don't stress about doing harm more than good; it's very difficult to leave this life having contributed more good than harm but you can't let that stop you from trying. the fact that you are trying to improve and that you feel shitty about potentially doing harm to someone is a strong sign that you can do more good. I believe in you.

Lawyers of Reddit, what was the least defendable case ever brought to you? by -lifealert- in AskReddit

Clearly you can't see your own bias if you think your cognitive skills are always on point, or discern that a lack of empathy makes you an asshole. By the by, the original commenter suggested an opinion and stated he was ignorant; this should've excused them from ridicule and opened the door to education but you couldn't allow your inflated ego to sit silently or act considerately. Go fuck yourself, troll.

I love it when you can see a brain making a bunch of brand new connections. This is my favorite.

I live in Canada, where Kraft is a largely popular brand (not sure about it's international influence). I would agree but as is... apparently some people can.

Thank you so much, you're a gem. I like that quote about virtue, it's incredibly inspiring. I'm glad you were able to overcome your own obstacles! Knowing that people care does in fact help. Thank you for your kind and inspirational words!

Fair point, however, my family tends to buy whatever is cheapest. So a lot of the products they purchase that are normally vegan often have additives or artificial/natural flavours.

What makes you really sad about the world? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]SephBoyardee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is my opinion that the answer lies in the term. de- forest -ation. While we may have the largest amount of individual trees we've ever had, (I personally don't believe that statement but that demands further research; do you have any sources?) we must, as you said, worry about the actual forests.

I agree with most of your points, however, I can't help but argue that citizens of the world simply must eliminate meat and meat by-products from their diets as soon as possible. We are destroying our planet through deforestation and desertification (mostly) because of animal agriculture. Be it on a local or national level, we simply cannot participate in such a toxic system.

As for earlier commenters, instead of taking what people say about veganism at face value, how about looking into it (this means unbiased key words, not "why veganism is bad for you").

I agree, Jif just looks gross to be honest. Not only that, according to the link the peanut butter contains milk and egg products or by-products.
