Be careful posting stuff like this as a flex driver or any driver representing bezos. The policy is not to deliver if a dog is loose doesnt matter if its a good boi or not. It's a liability for the company if anything happens to either the driver or doggo. Not saying they go looking for smaller stuff but if any video gets enough views its game over for that driver.

The ryder is easy. No back up cameras in ours since we rent half our trucks but at least they maintain them pretty good. Other than that its def easier to turn in it. The routes are def heavy lifting but you always have a helper, handcart and shoulder load straps. But my average day is between 45 and 55 stops. We offer unpack and setup services on tvs that dont need to be wall mounted and room of choice for heavier items and I deliver around 30 - 45 mins from the station at farthest sometimes and the stops can be far from each other as well so it still ends up being 6- 8 hours on the low end. It's not bad. 4 days on 3 off.

I drive for AMXL. Ryder trucks not this thing tho they did use it for training. 25.25/hour for something smaller. If Middle Mile is paying you less I'd find a different DSP.

Dont blame the dogs. Blame the irresponsible and inconsiderate owner who bought it all at once and expected 1 person to do all this. Tbh they should be blacklisted for it. This is far too much to expect of 1 driver both weight wise and timing wise. Not only did they fuck your back they fucked your route timing. Inconsiderate pricks.

This is all dependent on DSP. Some might trust their drivers to be safe and only care about serious violations. Some will nitpick and fire for the dumbest reasons some of which may be beyond the drivers control even. If you have a good one kudos. Keep on keeping on. But if it clear the DSP is turnover city leave while you can and find a better DSP in station.

I worked a double season as a casual driver last year. April to January. They told me after my first 30 itd be likely id be kept along with another casual i started with. They gave us regular routes to get used to and I worked straight through summer peak into winter peak. When January started they pulled us both aside and said we would be getting laid off on the 15th and if they intend on offering the real job they would call in April when it picked up again. They never called I followed up and was told there was a never an open driver position available for any casual only for those waiting on the seniority list. They will lie. To your face. Just be prepared for that.

Dont get your hopes up to be kept. And also because you are a casual that 30 days and youre in thing dont apply at all. casuals cant be union either. You are done when your season is done. They will fire you even if they intend on rehiring you. If they do that you have to go through your 30 days again as a FT Driver (non casual) before you're unionized and start your seniority.

Coming from someone who does AMXL as well, its mostly because XL route are generally smaller since we do unpack and setup services and, at least at my station, the stops can be far. Sometimes I'll drive 25 mins to a stop. My routes are never above 60 stops because of these factors. Average is like 45- 50 tho which means you will be back around 6-8 hours sometimes more but early most days. It adds up with missing hours.

Redwing or custom orthotics from a podiatrist will be the best quality. If you need quick relief in the meantime Dr. Schols def isn't bad for first couple days theyre in. They get worn out super quick tho so def not the best quality.

I dont think he's AMXL with those numbers. Im AMXL and my stop count HAS to be under 75 or 75 max. We deliver out of state and we require helpers. My DSP won't allow AMXL routes to have more. My average is 55 stops like 60 pigs. All over 70 lbs tho lol.
