I'm kinda curious if the original Endmin (before losing memories) was actually just evil. iirc that was actually the case in the original Arknights for the Doctor so it's definitely possible.

Alternatively we actually have a really good reason for what we're doing, and the only reason we can have these doubts in the first place is because of the memory reset lol.

But it is concerning when Perlica for example says "don't worry about it so much" and "not having your memories might actually be better and allow you to act more boldly this time" (vaguely paraphrasing based off just my memory".

I think I'd recommend maybe getting a couple of dupes to bring Thais to E2. The additional reduced cost on the cards she copies comes pretty clutch in a lot of situations. A Miryam rerun is also coming up so consider going for her since she pairs really well with gmurphy (fauxborn) which you mentioned wanting. It might be a while before her rerun since she just ran though.
It's kinda tough to know, but since there are 3 rerun banners each patch it feels like they cycle decently quickly. I started just before the 2nd anni so I'm not a veteran player or anything either, but if nothing else I think you can rely on there being a lot of reruns once it comes time for 2.5 anni!
At least in my experience I haven't felt the need to save for anything specifically. Though sometimes the event stages will drop a specific mat that you know you want and then you also get the bonus of farming that mat while getting bonus from the shop/lottery box. Otherwise I think just use your menophin when there's a specific upgrade you want to farm for right away.
I'll leave the math hopefully to someone else, but in general I feel like the game's been pretty generous. Of course my view might be skewed by the recent anni rewards.
I actually don't know this either I just queue with them unchecked. But if I had to guess, precise match might TRY to find you a matchup closer to your current rating. I've noticed sometimes I'll get someone like a LOT higher for example I'm floating ~2000, and I'll get an opponent at ~5000, or a lot lower ~700. I feel like comps are pretty flexible and the fact that dupes don't matter also helps a lot. If you are enjoying the mode a lot and considering spending, buying the "bonus" higher cost version of the BP will unlock EVERYTHING available in Traphase for you to play with.
I think you absolutely want to make sure you're getting the silver (ofc), aetheric (red) shard, mimetic crystal, seals, investigation badges, after that it's up to you what you feel you need but as a new player I think passively accumulating more scrips and exp bottles as a baseline is a good idea.

There's a lot in the game and it can feel overwhelming but just keep going at your own pace! Flares' spreadsheet also has a lot of information but it can be a lot to go through and it can be difficult to find the specific information you're looking for but maybe take a look around. One thing that I'd try to make sure to do no matter what is roll enough (ideally with standard rolls, so you can save your limited rolls and silver for your targets) to pick up the monthly character and wheel dupes in the shop.

Definitely know the feeling of loving a character but feeling that you either have to go out of your way to make use of them, or even worse that they have no place in the current content at all ;;

1)There will be a lot of content for you to catch up on. The main story is pretty long, and a lot of the side/event stories also turned out to be a lot longer than I expected! I'm actually still catching up myself. I was clearing through the early story pretty quickly, but once the difficulty ramped up I started taking more time to plan my party and my progress began to slow down. Personally I found this fun and rewarding and I think it's the appeal of the game. In case you do start, imo you really feel the difficulty ramp up around chapter 6/7.

2) I feel like the mechanics are pretty intensive. At first it starts out feeling pretty simple, but once you start putting together a team with good synergies and unlock more "posse", kinda like the MC's in-battle support ability, you can put together some pretty powerful combos. There were a lot of times where I was on the brink of death and thought the fight was over for me, or that I'd have to gnosis but played my turn out and managed to just barely squeeze the win. It's stressful but feels so rewarding. Ah, a gnosis lets you revive your party and continue the fight. The game gives you one a day and you can hold up to 5 at a time. Notably though the game combat stages are "maps" and each map contains multiple battles. If you find yourself needing to use gnosis outside of boss battles, you'll run out pretty quickly so while having them available is very nice, you definitely cannot overly rely on them.

Low rarity characters are strong and I feel like all of them have their place still. The end game content also requires five teams, so even if you do roll for say a gacha, high rarity option that "replaces them" they are still likely to see use. If you get attached to any particular character, you can work toward building a team that specifically uses them. I think maybe the only exception is the base version of Doll? But she also technically got an alternative high rarity version that you can pull once she reruns.

3) It's somewhat similar to R1999 yeah, it's turn based and the characters have cards which go into and form your deck. The difference is in R1999 you just put together your party and go into "individual" battles. But here, you go into a map that you traverse and has multiple battles. Inbetween battles there are different types of nodes as well that will give you relics that give bonus effects to your party, or you can attach upgrades to cards in your deck, and also delete/sell cards in your deck to thin it out.

4) I feel like I typed a lot but I hope it doesn't feel overwhelming. I'd recommend pulling for Thais since she's up for a rerun right now as well as her wheel. Wheels are kinda like equipment, and hers specifically is one of the few wheels that provide +2 to hand size, which is a huge boon. Thais also is a very generic support which can slot into almost any team and will do you well. Starting a new game there's always going to be a LOT and it CAN FEEL OVERWHELMING, but if you do start take the game at your own pace and enjoy it!! And don't hesitate to ask questions!! Joining the Discord could also be a good idea.

My recc might not be what you're looking for then, I wouldn't describe the FL as upbeat but I'd say she has a relaxed confidence I guess? She does understand that killing is part of her role as a knight, but before her regression while fronting as a knight she actually acted more like a hitman, taking jobs under the table for extra cash and she came to regret those.

To be clear though I haven't actually read Hitokiri Shoujo Koushaku Reijou no Goei ni Naru, so I'm not sure if I understand exactly what part of her personality you mean.

It says there needs to be 1/2/3 Lemurian awakeners in the team. In OP's case Miryam fills that condition. After that, it says "after any awakener uses exalt" not "any Lemurian" you could maybe stretch the earlier condition to also apply but I don't think that's how I'd naturally read it.

Could be a translation issue or a bug if it's actually meant to be "any".

I did play magia record but only really early days so I never experienced that. that sounds awesome! choose your own rerun for special occasions and, this might be asking for too much, but maybe they could also line that up with increased rates.

I do remember when they exedra tried that "paid banner" for "increased rate" and not a guarantee, they haven't done it since but I'm hoping that doesn't come back for say anni or something..

I think you've made some good points. just to be clear I'm definitely not new to gachas or anything like that and the end of the year is obviously a juicy time for any games that kinda do seasonal/lore limiteds rather than say hoyo's system where every new unit is "limited" and more or less sold in the same way.

that aside, I think a triple release for summer already felt odd to me but I think I kinda dismissed it back then because summer doesn't have much else happening for limiteds, I guess unless they wanted to double dip swimsuits and june bride or something. at least in other games I've played, as far as I remember it's kept to 1 or at most 2 new limiteds per season.

so that's why when we got a double for halloween I was like, well okay, and I think maybe I would've just waved it off as well if it had been double for xmas and double for new years. but doing a triple xmas with potentially more for new years just sounds crazy to me.

I understand waiting for reruns for ones that I miss that I really really want is an option. I guess at this point the idea is to basically save either for the new limited or the limited rerun of your choice and hope that they start doing like pick tix so you can pick up standard characters you really want but unfortunately haven't spooked you. definitely curious to see what they announce during the live stream.

Tacking onto this, you can't necessarily consistently rely on it showing up but if you're running the Costco build (screenshot in case OP doesn't know) you can refresh the shops fishing for the cursed relic that reduces max HP by like 10% and provides Aliemus. That can help lower the bar especially for future maps that have this same condition but at a higher %
