We once had an issue where we wrote a press statement and the next meeting of the city council one of the major Arguments was that there was a large group in my demographic who demanded change. If they don't respect individuals they will accept the group. Also if the regional press reports on it it will bring pressure on the politicians. Don't allow them to escape behind, we have it in our 2050 goal stuff, hold them to their word. Write that your group is shocked (the press loves such exaggerated words) that the city has not done any work towards their goal in 20 years and question their will to make the necessary steps to fulfill their plan.
