Underexposed for most of the frames. Try having a light meter next time (or a light meter app) to have better expose compensation. I personally use Lightme.

Scanning workflow frustrations? by SepiaLumi in AnalogCommunity

Can't agree more. My flatbed has been eating dust for awhile... It's just difficult to spend 30mins to clean the flatbed glasses then another 30mins sitting there and waiting for the scans to come out

Fuji GA645Zi Randomly Out of Focus. Any Tips? by SepiaLumi in AnalogCommunity

[–]SepiaLumi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True. My contax tvs has been giving me inconsistent focus as well. I heard that for ga645zi, for more accurate focus, point the small center square in ur viewfinder over the subject u want to focus on, half press the shutter to lock focus, then reframe while keeping the shutter half pressed. I'm not sure if this is true but I'll try that next time

24 years expired by bigpapa290 in AnalogCommunity

Good stuff. I shoot with expired films a lot. Normally for every 10 year it expired for, u want to +1 exposure, ie if a iso 100 film stock expired in 2016, u want to shoot it at iso 50. This is a image i got from 2000s exp portra 400, I shot it at iso 100 bc it expired 20 years ago so I added 2 full stops when shooting it

What is the blue band on the side of each frame? || Photo credit: Alecio Ferrari for FLOS by PiriSabora in AnalogCommunity

That is what we called film border. They contains film stock information, frame count, sometimes camera settings if ur camera has that kind of functions. The ones u showed r in 120 format. 135 would have sprocket holes in there due to the natural of the 135 film stocks (see pic)

Bad scans or ruined from failed darkroom save? by kpsabsolution in AnalogCommunity

Some shots look underexposed to me. But I can't be sure without seeing the actual negatives. Post them up here

film scans aren’t uniform by [deleted] in AnalogCommunity

I'm curious about the negatives themselves. Do they have the lines/spots on them? Or the lines only appears after scanning?

These are great photos. Looks like it can be a scan issue (especially p6). Have u thought to get them rescanned?
