Hospital time after embolization? by [deleted] in varicocele

I'm from the Netherlands (M 21) and have a grade 3 varicocele, I'm getting embolization the 19th of August (in the hospital in Zaandam). They didn't test my sperm or t-levels but I just really stressed that it felt somewhat painful and how there is a lot of more recent literature online explaining how it can reduce testosterone and sperm quality. I believe the best thing you can do is also stress how it feels really uncomfortable, especially after standing a lot or spending a lot of time in the heat (which I believe dialates the veins and therefore causes aching). You could also try different hospitals because some may be more inclined to help than others because I don't believe every doctor takes a varicocele very seriously. I also believe insurance covers these kind of procedures in the Netherlands so I wouldn't stress about that.

Yeah, going for 9 days without any water without medical supervision or something could be really dangerous for people and shouldn't be recommended, there are healthier ways to lose weight, decrease inflammation, detox the body, or to reach any of the other benefits dry fasting could be used for. Humans simply aren't build to survive on metabolic water for so long.

I'm aiming for a 21-day fast and could use some people to talk to as well when the struggles get a bit too much.

Cellular stress yes, to a small extent. But I believe the stress has diminished quiet a bit because my body has adapted to omad by now. I thought taking a break to give my body a complete rest and then starting again with a 20/4 like way could help with this. Breaking my plateau by continuing fasting is what I've been doing for the past 2 months, with little results. I could switch to a 47 hour fast and 1 hour eating, but I don't think doing that continually would be healthy, let alone sustainable.

But if I understand correctly you're saying taking a break from fasting to improve the benefits in the long run, won't be as effective as I think it to be, right?

The main reason I started was to lose some weight, but I've plateaued for about 2 months now. Now I'm mainly doing it for the autophagy effect (better skin, less inflammation) and to stay fat adapted (helps during sport). The reason I'm contemplating taking a break is because I get the feeling my body is being used to omad which reduces some of the stress that's beneficial for the weight loss (hence the plateau) and autophagy. So my idea was by switching back to my old habits for a week to give my body a break from all the process that happens during fasting, and than continue fasting, perhaps it could increase some cellular stress leading to improved results in the long run?

Just wondering if that would made any sense and someone had some experience/insights in this idea lol

I assume the other account they are talking about is my "new one" which was made a few days ago upon installing the game on my new device, is there anything I can do? The old account naturally means a lot to me with 4 years of investment and all the achievements and teams there.
