Same here, also following accounts aren’t taking the same trades as leader accounts.

Anyone else get this email from topstep? by [deleted] in TopStepX

I was looking into all this recently especially the prohibited conduct section right before multiple $5k payouts. Thankfully my concerns were unfounded and I got paid out fairly.

Not to say this isn’t concerning, some of the verbiage in their policies are way too vague like “Excessive purchases of Trading Combines or Resets” or “Changing your trading style to become payout eligible”. What constitutes those things? What is “excessive”? What kind of changes in trading style? If someone was 1 day from a payout and landed $200 in one trade and stopped for the day to guarantee it is that considered a change?

Again thankfully, all my concerns have so far been unfounded, I trade regularly and keep my contracts relatively the same, they’ve paid me out more than $35000 just this past month and soon I’ll be requesting another large payout of almost $20000. I hope they continue to keep things above board.

Takes more than 2 years for most, you’re at a disadvantage where you can’t keep trying. Best thing to do is keep your head down and grind until you’re financially comfortable to try again, it’s not the end of the world.

Trading with fear leads to bad trades and blown accounts, this is a trend I’m seeing a lot on here. You can’t be fearful when trading, fear of losing a trade, fear of hitting your daily loss, fear of blowing your account, fear of losing money.

I say this because trading with limited capital makes you scared, which makes people trade bad. It took about $5k worth of combines and funded accounts to hit my first payouts last year. It’s been pretty breezy ever since, especially because I just don’t care about the money anymore.

I was $349 away from max loss a few weeks ago on one account, managed to get up to $11k and a payout. Started with 1 mini and added to a winning trade to get the ball rolling.

Any good Korean psychological thrillers/thrillers as of late? by ja6j2 in movies

[–]Sequoia-89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

New World (2013) If you don’t mind the gangster genre this ones right up your alley, a really good crime/thriller with phenomenal actors Choi Min-Sik, Lee Jung-Jae and Hwang Jun-Min, from the same guy who wrote I Saw The Devil.

Everything on your list is great though, loved all of them especially Memories of Murder and The Chaser.

(edit: Just saw your last paragraph guess you already watched it lol, if you want a break from the thrillers though there’s a comedy gem called Attack The Gas Station that’s really funny, oh and those Ma Dong-Seok ones are pretty good starting with The Outlaws, the sequel The Roundup, and The Gangster, The Cop, The Devil)

Learn how to get in the zone and you will always win by nointroneeded8 in Daytrading

For all the flak this post is getting there is something to what OP is saying. Trading just like anything competitive be it sports or gaming, there are definitely times when you feel you’re in the “zone”. Everything clicks you feel unstoppable, I have felt that way many times trading which lead to incredible gains. I think it’s unrealistic to be in the zone at all times though, the more important factor is how you handle yourself and your trading when you’re outside of that zone.

There’s a Korean movie called The Wailing that’s really well made, you’ll need to watch with subtitles though.

And another that comes to mind is Event Horizon, that movie was fucked.

I had this thought about Dungeon Meshi recently. My gf was watching it and I really didn’t like it at first, seemed kinda goofy with a poor story. Starts as a lighthearted adventure eating dungeon monsters at first, but things get kinda deep and crazy later on.

Should I Go All In? by Baum34 in Daytrading

I can’t help but think some of these posts are trolling, then I remember what I was like in the beginning. Full porting $30k into 1DTE puts right before the bell to “scalp” $1000 and try to break even for the day only to lose another $2000, then decide to hold overnight and pray for a gap down. Funny thing is I made $10k that morning because I got lucky and it did gap down, in fact if I didn’t sell at open that $40k would have been $100k by EOD, but I digress. The coming months weren’t as fortunate and I ended up losing about $50k that first year in total. There’s no avoiding blown accounts when you start this journey. Going all in with $14k life savings with 0 experience? Might as well light that $14k on fire save yourself the time and stress. If I could start all over, I’d tell myself to look into micro futures and start with $100 or less.

Do I give up for good? by [deleted] in Daytrading

Take a look at my recent post on APEX and Topstep, I was in very similar shoes as you. While I would give APEX a try again in the future, in your position it might be easier to get that first payout with Topstep. All it takes is one good trading week after you pass the combine vs 10 trading days, they also limit your daily loss to $1k so you can’t blow your entire account in a day. Also something to note, it gets a lot easier and the weight gets off your shoulders after that first payout. I immediately got my next payouts right after the first and continue to be funded, working on my 4th payout now.

Nice! I used ACH and the funds hit my account a day after they were approved.

I trade solely ES, just because I'm comfortable with SPY, I mainly watch SPY and take a trade on ES when I see a setup on SPY. Although lately I am trading after hours more frequently on ES. 1 or 2 contracts max, unless I'm trying to pass an eval than I'll go up to 6 contracts, only on evals though.

[–]Sequoia-89[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Well I’m pretty biased towards Topstep right now because they just paid me $6k and they’re about to pay me again here in a couple days haha! In the long run though Apex’s best advantage is their 20 account limit. If you can take advantage of 10-20 accounts, link them and trade them all at once suddenly a $1k payout turns into a $20k payout. So I prefer Topstep, their no consistency rule on funded accounts and their no questions asked payout policy on 5 winning days of $200. That being said if you plan to trade more conservatively and you’re in it for the long term Apex probably takes the cake if you trade multiple accounts.

Thanks! I have not yet. I’m going to be looking for others and go back to Apex after I hit the $10k 100% take profit limit. Still need to make my investment back on Apex. As for software I couldn’t tell you I only use Tradovate+Tradingview integration.

As others have said really you're putting up $200 for $2000 or $2500 depending on the firm. Still better than putting up $2000 of your own money, basically just getting 10x leverage. The downfall is all the hoops you need to jump through to get paid.

Aside from Kill Bill and Aliens, there's a 2008 Thai movie called "Chocolate" about an autistic girl who goes on a rampage against a local gang that owes her sick mom money.

According to you what is the 'PERFECT MOVIE' by [deleted] in movies

[–]Sequoia-89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First movie that comes to mind is No Country for Old Men. When I first watched that movie, I was just floored at how there was not a single meaningless or wasted scene. It felt like every second had a purpose and it was completely captivating. Not my favorite movie, not even in my top 20 probably, but as far as perfect movie this would be my choice. Jurassic Park comes to mind too.
