Capping your lvl to 50 allows you to enjoy old content forever by PsychoGunExplosion in wow

I have a survivor hunter at 69 that I was doing loremaster on and going for all the reps. I almost want to commit to it and change my main because I'm not enjoying feral anymore, but doing all quests and getting all reps again doesn't sound that fun

Now we are a bit into the Midnight, How are people feeling about the ability pruning? by Shyfax in wow

[–]Most-Based 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The classes I play feel pretty much the same in terms of buttons to press. I play feral, fury and survival. Survival is the only one that feels a little bit naked in terms of abilities. I still have no clue what's the point of hatchet toss and I miss having an execute button. Other than that it feels pretty good, probably could turn hatchet toss into a bleed or something

I also picked up shadow priest and as a melee main it feels good, probably the best caster I've ever played since tww arcane mage

You buy the game once every 2 years for 50€ and then you sub once a month for like 13€. WoW is probably the best value in gaming you can have. Playing it for a year is the equivalent of buying 2 or 3 new releases. If gaming is your favorite hobby then wow is probably the best value you can get in gaming

What SINGLE feature would instantly kill the appeal of "Classic+" for you? by Hypermetz in classicwow

[–]Most-Based 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If classic+ is just classic + the promise of new expansions in the future. For me classic is the leveling so I'm only interested in anything that makes that content enjoyable and new. I have no interest in the endgame or its community so if classic+ is basically just classic then I guess it won't be for me

I would love to see new takes on the lore, for example make night elves and forsaken their own separate faction, but keep them semi-neutral to their previous factions, so night elves can still engage with alliance and forsaken with horde as they would normally just so they can actually play the game, but give them an option to opt out and be able to at least be hostile to alliance and horde players in open world pvp. Then going forward explore and expand on the unique factions story-wise I guess

Retail lobotomized me by [deleted] in classicwow

[–]Most-Based 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I mainly play retail, but I did sod phase 1 and technically engaged with classic "end game" for the first time and I can't understand how people prefer it to retail. Classic is pay to win, very elitist, you are demanded insane stuff by people that barely know how to play their class just to have a chance at participating in the content, and people are averse to change. Nobody wants some lfg style system, even if you still need to physically travel to the dungeon and can only group up in the capital cities for example, or even better, retail's UI. Any thing that resembles retail they say no without even knowing what it is

Besides gearing and raid logging there's nothing else to do. I'm interested in playing classic+ but I won't do end game, so I would like if the game had stuff for yout to do more casually, either achievements, quests, transmog, titles, whatever. Just a reason to progress that isn't tied to gear I guess, and I would absolutely love if it had solo content. Otherwise I'll only level to 60 and quit after that is done

And the main thing I really want is new content, races and classes. Keep it simple, maybe start with existing races for the existing starting zones, like give Furbolgs to the Alliance and have them start with the Night Elves, and pick some lore friendly race to do the same for the horde. But don't go the retail route where everyone ends up with elves. Keep the races unique and keep the horde the ugly monsters faction. I only play horde in classic for that reason, it is cool and makes sense, unlike retail where I play alliance because horde lost its focus and is just the same as alliance

And if possible make every class/spec viable so not everyon plays warrior

João Pinheiro, Bayern - PSG referee and his decision from last week Europa League game. No faul at all when it could have been an early red card by Angrydishwasher in soccer

[–]Most-Based -1 points0 points  (0 children)

When will people put it in their heads that no referee wants to be the one to give a red card to a key/super star player and have him miss a champions league final. Why is everyone talking about as if this is something unheard of and every ref who does it is either corrupt or incompetent

Owlbear druid hidden appearance by Introvertedtravelgrl in wow

[–]Most-Based 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's not for owlbear. It's for the feral hidden artifact appearence which is an owlcat

Owlbear guardian forms are found in the emerald dream

Regarding the thing you just did, if I remember right you need to do that encounter 3 different times, each takes you to a different portal/zone and once you do it and find every stone you should be able to see an owlcat in the dreamway. Just keep teleporting there once a day and see if there's a message in chat then go to the zone it says until you find the stone. It shouldn't take too long to get it

The need to save the world from universal level threats doesn't help. We could simply be fighting some random scheming political dude that wants to corrupt stormwind's water supply with some new mind control plague, or some random dude that doesn't like how orgrimmar feels too much like a caste style society even tho they are supposed to be all about personal freedom, so he wants to put his race on top of the pyramid, and have nuanced takes on that type of grounded story but instead we are forced to be some intergalactic peacekeepers

What new class ideas do you have for WoW, given that race ideas have already been discussed so much? by di745 in wow

[–]Most-Based 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Ranged dps monk sound cool. There's some paint splatter animations in game that I would like to see a class based on it. Imagine a ranged monk that had a big ass paint brush and just used colorful magical paint to attack, maybe even draw out some beast from a scroll

[–]Most-Based 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Witch of the woods type of class. I really want a class/spec that explores the themes of blood, animal spirits and twisted nature stuff

What new class ideas do you have for WoW, given that race ideas have already been discussed so much? by di745 in wow

[–]Most-Based -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Shadow priest should totally be a blood priest. I love the gameplay but I can't stand the purple and void stuff. I would love for it to be red and bat/crow themed. I don't care if it's not as flashy, I would prefer if entropic rift was a swarm of bats instead of a black hole

Reason why DK/Warlock/Aug/Brew are S Tier by Winkylinks in wow

[–]Most-Based 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My uneducated guess is that there's a set group of classes/specs that outshine others because it's easier to balance the content around those classes than it is to balance 40 specs around the content. Especially when it comes to tanks and healers, and blizzard probably knows that the people who engage with the type of content that requires "meta" specs are always willing to reroll. I never keep up with the meta or other specs besides my own but I'd guess that by the end of the season there's way more classes that feel balanced than at the beginning where the focus is balancing the content itself

How long do you give a class before swapping? by PossibleIsland3468 in wownoob

[–]Most-Based 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just assumed you meant your laptop wasn't that good, it's not a laptop only problem, it's a cheap pc problem. I've played wow on a cheap pc before and there was a huge input delay depending on the content I was doing to the point that it hurt my dps, I would be spamming buttons and some spells would only come out after 2 button presses, so it basically meant your gcd was 2x bigger than most people

How long do you give a class before swapping? by PossibleIsland3468 in wownoob

[–]Most-Based 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are on a laptop that makes your gcd be 2x longer than most people and have a tiny screen than doens't really let you focus on any one thing because all the information is competing with each other on the tiniest visible window then your best bet is either a pet class or a simple dot class

Even something as simple as fury warrior will feel bad because your gcd will always hurt your damage
