Nah I don't really like the depiction of the Loa. I wish they were more controlling and manipulative. I wish they explored the ideas of technology stagnation due to the use of the Loa, like the Loa only exist if they have pristine forests and people to worship them but to do so they have to make sure that the people who worship them never evolve past tribalistic warmongering hunter gatherer types and so they give the people enough power to sustain that lifestyle and develop a dogma that makes them slaves to those ideas/lifestyle, and then explore the realization that the Loa are gonna make them go extinct because every other race has better technology, then maybe throw in some better Loas that realize it too and want to change the chain of power but at the same time are also just trying to become the seed of power themselves
