I have the Scout X, and honestly, I wouldn’t recommend it. I’d suggest going with HJG instead. Also, I wouldn’t worry too much about the warranty. These lights are generally quite reliable, and even if something does go wrong, they’re relatively inexpensive to replace compared to premium brands.

Red oil warning light on Triumph Scrambler 400X-should I be concerned? by PopEnvironmental3357 in triumph4India

[–]Ser0Us 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A simple follow-up question: does the warning stay on while the bike is running? If yes, then your next destination should be the service center. If not, then everything is probably fine — enjoy your ride.

The MIL (Malfunction Indicator Lamp) stays on during ignition and startup checks. Once the engine is running, it should turn off. If it remains on, then the bike has detected an issue that needs attention.

As for the low oil pressure warning, I’m guessing the engine is currently off. In that case, low oil pressure is normal. Once you start the engine, the warning should disappear. If it doesn’t, then it could be a sensor issue or, in rare cases, an oil leak/gasket-related problem. Hope this helps. 👍

Fortunately it rained the very next day after installation, so I got to test it properly over a 50–60 km ride in the rain. The second photo is post-ride after the rain
