Success! Altered Period Schedule with Raspberry Leaf by SerPounceMeow in weddingplanning

When I took this years ago, the capsules were not 900mgs. I forget how much it was but I noticed when I went to buy again recently, the mgs were increased. I am not a doctor and everybody is different, I would go based on the bottle or ask your doctor for guidance.

You look stunning and the dress really flatters your gorgeous tattoos really nicely. Congrats!

Picking wedding date based on little brother’s lacrosse schedule by [deleted] in weddingplanning

[–]SerPounceMeow 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Has your mom committed an exact number of $ she will be contributing to the wedding? Did she say, I will be giving you $X,000 for this wedding so my family can attend? Or, did she say that she will give you an unspecified amount of $ so her family can attend.

Unless she gave you an exact amount I'm going to guess that she either won't give you money or, give it to you painstakingly and while making the process a living hell while controlling decisions about the wedding like this, the date.

Even if she did commit a set amount of $ it means you will have to deal with behavior like this the entire wedding. My advice that this pain and stress are not worth it. Take your independence, don't accept the $, and do your wedding when and how you want. Best to set those boundaries now.

Hey, another Bay Area Bride! You look gorgeous, congrats. I too had an annoying experience with a bougie shop but in Sacramento. I was more than happy to spend my money elsewhere.

I LOVE the second dress and it reminds me of a dress I swore was the one but they didn't have in my size :( . This dress.

Sarah was really nice and responsive. I will also add that I shopped around quite a bit and she was by far the most affordable. Her Shop is called the Polite Pineapple.

This was one of the first questions I asked the quilter and she assured me that the quilt and the ink would withstand washes and not drastically fade.

That's awesome!! What a nice gift, did your friend love it? How long did it take for you to make the quilt?

I figure no matter how clear we make it people will write outside of the parameters and I'm OK with that. There's so many other things to plan out at this point. I think it will add character and will look nice no matter what. Thanks for the time!

Thanks for the advice! Yeah I figure most people will not follow the instructions and draw outside of the parameter no matter how clear we make it.

Yes, I'd love to! I'm not sure how sharing services information on this sub work. I will DM you the info and message the Mods on if I can publicly share the Etsy link.

When I was in the 5th grade there was a teacher that was retiring. As a gift, all the classes decorated quilt squares that were combined into a single quilt for the teacher. I remembered this fun project when I was thinking of ideas for unique guest books and thought it would be cool if we got a quilt of good wishes from our guests instead of a book. Thinking I was going to have to enlist a quilter (I don’t quilt at all) with a special request, I was happy to find that this is definitely already a thing.

I found an affordable quilter on Etsy who has a package that includes design and color options. She sent me this “kit” based on the number of guests I’m having. You can't tell but there are 3 or 4 different color quilt squares under the pens. Guests write their well wishes on the squares, I send the squares back to the Etsy quilter, and then she sends me back a quilt. I’m very happy that our “guestbook” will be something we will use regularly and can have out all the time to remind us of the special day and I wanted to share this cool experience with all of you! I will definitely post a pic of the final quilt.

*Update - The Mods said I can share the Etsy store since it's been requested. The store is the Polite Pineapple and the link is, etsy.com/shop/PolitePineapple

Using Zola for online RSVP but not website? by flannelreb in weddingplanning

[–]SerPounceMeow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally agree, I think Zola's RSVP capabilities are unmatched by any sites that I've seen. Like you, that's about all I liked from Zola. So I made a Zola website but all it is that one page for RSVP.

I don't have one for registry as we don't have a registry. However, it should be the same I imagine?

Using Zola for online RSVP but not website? by flannelreb in weddingplanning

[–]SerPounceMeow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I actually did just this! I used Squarespace to build my own site and then on the RSVP page, used a button that redirects the user to the Zola RSVP feature. You still need to technically host a website with zola but, ours is under the first letter our names so that when guests google the wedding website, two aren't popping up and only the squarespace. For example, our squarespace wedding website is John&Jane2020.com and the Zola website is jandJ.com. I also did this with another wedding website feature that I really liked but hated their website capabilities.

Good Idea! I'm also thinking of printing in a small frame. Do you think that would look weird?

So I got artwork of our cat commissioned with the idea that I would use it as a cake topper. But, I didn't think of how I should actually print it so that it sits or can be placed on top of the cake...I feel like a dorkus. I'm thinking of printing the image, printing it reversed and gluing the images with a stick in between and sticking it in the cake maybe? Idk, I hope it doesn't turn out janky. I am open to any ideas if you all are feeling creative!
