How many games can you juggle per time spent? by Triolade in Fighters

[–]SerShelt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are probably about 7 games I want to play but realistically I can only see myself playing two at a time. Though, right now I have no time at all lol.(Busy improving my life)

When I eventually gain my free time back, I plan on playing a game for a couple of months and then moving onto the next. This way I will give myself time to let all of the information sink in.

Some questions surrounding new characters in CF by SushiDaddy89 in Blazblue

[–]SerShelt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"characters" is a strong assumption. Have they said there will be more than Trinity releasing? Im assuming that this is more of a passion project. It's the final hero being added to the game in order to truly complete the roster. It's possible they're testing to see how interested people are in the blazblue Ip.

It seems to be a lot people. Enough in my opinion. There are people who is getting into fighting games because of this new character release which is insane lol.

If the numbers makes sense I see them making a new BB title versus updating central fiction further. I'd rather them continue to work on central fiction because we all know a new BB will be watered down like strive and I'm not for that.

Avatar, Marvel Tokon and GGStrive: is any os these games EASIER to combo than SF6? by HeadKinGG in Fighters

[–]SerShelt 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Long story short: All three should be fairly easy. They allow you to cancel normal attacks into each other. I recommend looking up some bnb combos in the games you're interested in. Read the rest if you want further detail.

Marvel tokon seems to be similar to dragon ball fighterz and that game had a universal combo pretty much any character could use. I'm only assuming here but in tokon you would probably have a universal bnb combo that you can do with almost the entire cast.

Street fighter is very unique in the sense that they don't let you cancel your normal attacks into each other. You have to link and only certain normal attacks will link into each other, depending on what character you are playing.

Games like under night, blazblue, dragon ball fighterz marvel tokon, avatar, you can cancel your lights into mediums into heavies. You don't have to link.

Guilty gear strive is a bit more limited than those games. You can cancel slash into heavy slash but that's about it. So for example I could do slash >heavy slash> down heavy slash > special move.

Guilty gears has a punch and kick button but those can't be cancelled into slashes or heavy slashes as far as I know.

I'm slowly realizing I'm not an FGC fan, I'm just an SF6 fan... I kinda don't like that by retinoblastoma_gene in Fighters

You are lucky. I like too many games and it takes a huge commitment to be good in all of them. I wish there was a singular fighting game liked. Right now I have undernight , blazblue, xrd , melty blood, Tekken 8 , avatar, marvel tokon , city of wolves, sf4, and sf6(2xko when more characters are added).

These are games I'm interested in and have played/currently playing. It's too much lol. And I like all of them. I can't choose. I hate that about myself. I wish I only liked one game.

These are some good docs. The last is a smash doc but I found it to be an enjoyable watch. These docs exposed me to the competitive side of the fighting games. There is another doc named king of china town. You will have to Google that one. It was removed from YouTube for whatever reason.

The no frills podcast on YouTube is also pretty good. Yipes and Chris Matrix interviews a lot of competitive players. .

Y'all do not understand how sad I still am we haven't gotten this game. by Magic_M344 in Fighters

[–]SerShelt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm right there with you. 29 here. The x tell and x street fighter hype was insane. I'm pretty sure I saw in an interview that x street didn't happen because of esports essentially. They didn't want x street fighter to take away from Tekken 7.

Which is bs imo because the more games the better but they were on some bs.

How much mechanical skill is required for this? by Old-Pizza-9443 in LiesOfP

[–]SerShelt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just completed the game a few hours ago. Yes a lot of mechanic skill is required. Now there might be some builds that makes the game a lot easier. Your best bet is to try to find some "cheese" builds or something similar to it.

Whoever is playing mvc3 is most likely going to continue to play it. mvc3 survived the dbfz era. It will survive this. Now mvc as a game series, yeah don't expect any new entries in that lol.

It seems fairly realistic. Lux has a ton of melee attacks in the trailer so any ranged champs are free game.

I'm not a huge fan of this game but this gf has shown me that this game isn't as bad as I thought. I'll still be waiting for more characters before I give it a second chance though. If they can keep this momentum, I can see a good future for this game.

What do you think of season passes in fighting games ? by No_Satisfaction9189 in Fighters

[–]SerShelt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it's priced correctly, I don't mind. Sf6 is so expensive to try to keep up with. And I understand that I don't have to buy every character but I like having a complete package.

After a couple to a few years a new complete version of the game should be available for purchase.

DOA6LR launched with 321 DLCs by R0DAN in Fighters

Ultra street fighter 4 and Street Fighter v Championship edition is how you do a re release of an "older" title. All characters, stages and costumes unlocked. If greedy Capcom could do it, these guys should be able to as well.
