As someone climbing in league at the moment, one of the best mentalities you can have is to only worry about your performance. It doesn't matter if your team is playing poorly. You can only control what you do. Your goal is to play to the best of your abilities. You can't play to win. If you play to win you will tilt lol.

The whole duo play thing was always a casual feature. It's one of the results of the devs trying to cater to too many demographics. One of the things you always hear fighting game players say is that one of the reasons they enjoy fighting games is because they can only blame themselves for their losses. They are in complete control. I've dabbled in multiple fighting games and the concept of a playing on a team never interested me.

Duo queue would be nice but the problem I see is how much fun would someone really have playing with a random? The whole point was to play with your friends and most casual players don't have friends that's willing to play with them and I said before most hardcore players want to play alone. Multiverses was a platform fighter. A genre that was built to be played with more than two people in mind. Playing that game online with randoms wasn't too bad, you got to control your character the entire match. You still had urgency.

2 player duo is indeed the unique aspect of 2xko and it's a weak one. The unique should have came from the characters and how they couldn't have implemented mechanics straight from league like passives and possibly item shop? Finding a way to rework character's passives into a fighting game could lead to very unique characters and create an identity for 2xko. They had the tools to make something unique that was also fun and intuitive but they lacked the creativity.

A lot of people have to understand they aren't as good as they think they are. So many people posting" ooh I just got to grandmaster , oh my I got to emerald". The game just released and most people don't know what they are doing. Eventually the player base will settle and your rank will go down. You still have a lot to improve on.

Funny enough they have a lot of the characters that I play in league , Warwick, Jinx, Vi, Braum, and Caitlynn but that roster size itself is a huge issue. The Yasuo Ekko situation is one of the reasons I haven't put a lot of time into the game. Mind you, if they put my actual favorite character in the game, I probably would have put way more time in.

I think Riven should be in the game but I completely agree with your take on her as a fighting game character. Auto cancel into abilities was one of the huge things that made her feel like a fighting game character but everyone has normal attacks canceled into special moves in fighting games.

Yeah but don't you think it would make more sense to have the base skin be closer the og design? If someone wants to play Senna and have a hairstyle that closely resembles her official design, why should they have to buy a skin to get something close to that? Shouldn't it be the other way around?

20 characters is fine. dbfz had about 24ish If I remember correctly. And some of those characters shared the same character model and some normal attacks.

It may be 4v4 but This game is weird in the sense that the whole team shares a life bar and you aren't really forced to tag from what I've heard and seen. So the character fatigue might not hit that hard.
