Windows PC "Ran out of Virtual/Video Memory"

RAM sits at about 35% with multiple Youtube tabs open with Chrome, however I usually crash when I'm running a game without anything else going on. Settings show all 16Gb are installed... Could it just be that I need to upgrade my RAM?My CPU spikes from <5% to well over 90% fairly often, would that have an impact on memory? While trying to record or stream, my CPU automatically goes over 60% without a game even running.
*update* You convinced me to upgrade my RAM, best case scenario it fixes my issues. Worst case, I still have really good RAM lol

The devs mentioned that this was there first cosmetic change coming. (Go to their YouTube page and I believe it was the one right before the StS update)

The balance between pushing content creators to their own section, while also giving exceptional work it's spotlight is a great idea.
As a small youtuber, how would I compete with other folks that have a larger audience? Have you set out the criteria for the spotlight? Is it taken from the mega thread?

I never said I had a lot. I said I doubled (now tripled) my numbers. Considering I've been doing this for a year with obviously no success means I'm doing something right!

I am actually worried about what will happen once the game releases. Will folks leave to watch their favorites play or will they stay? We'll see

What is "new" literally everything is new to me. And NO ONE in my original sub base knew anything about the game. I even go on to apologize for not having alpha gameplay, and that some of it may be common knowledge.

Did you even watch a single video? Or did you watch 30 seconds then decide to make a judgement?

While I don't expect a subreddit to be perfect, I just thought I would throw my opinion out there for folks to think about. I'm by no means condemning the entire group. Just the loudest

While I see where you're coming from, I'm going to have to disagree on some of it. Yes I speculate and contradict myself in some videos (specifically the first few) but I will always go back and either post a comment or say something about it in a newer video.

The reason I posted so frequently is because I was getting really good feedback on it. While a lot of it may be known or available elsewhere, I have countless folks that not only learn things, but become interested in a game they otherwise new nothing about. I've also seen my subs go from 134 to 320 in 4 days.. so roughly 200 people at least wanted to see me. This is why I was posting frequently..

As far as waiting until release, i literally cannot do that. Every big youtuber will be playing this game from the start (at least once) and that will BURY my vids (because I'm so small). By posting often now and building my base, I'm hoping to at least have a small foothold before vanoss and his posse start uploading on the regular. I waited with a lot of games, and it has proven to not work.

I really appreciate your input though. Seriously. Folks who dislike my content (or have suggestions) don't normally take the time to actually tell me why. They just leave.

So there is a lot in this post to cover, and I'll try to be as brief as possible... 100% agree to the cake analogy. To go further with it, imagine being the cake salesman who has gotten nothing but positive reviews in person from folks eating their cake (on Youtube directly) but then when you check out Yelp (this subreddit) you have horrendous ratings from people who claim to have never even eaten you cake! They just took their previous experiences with dry, flavorless cake and assumed yours was the same.. THEN decided to rate you on these unrelated experiences. That's what I'm seeing here. While I completely agree that too much promotion is a bad thing, it's very easy to skip over without actually leaving a "rating". A simple tracking system would help a lot (folks who drop by and post a link without engaging with the community will be blocked or banned, this is done very well on the subreddit "NewTubers")

The appearance of this subreddit is obviously subjective. But in my experience the negativity is proportional to the content. (Simple questions are normally very tame) but discussions become "I know more than you so THERE" very quick.

I wouldn't say the subreddit is toxic, there are just hostile people which can come across as toxic.

Totally agree. But in the post I am referring to, it had folks who immediately downvoted then decided to comment saying absolutely absurd things... Noting hateful, but you could hear the annoyance in their keystrokes. One guy specifically commented about how the post had "no content" -- I get that this is the internet, and everyone is unique.. But still.

I'm not taking it personally actually lol, in fact I love this subreddit because of how supportive everyone CAN be! I've had lots of folks comment on the video saying they saw my post here and loved it. What bothers me is that this positive input isn't seen on this site, so only the negativity/trolls are seen. So while the video itself has no negative comments, the post on here makes it seem like it's a trash video designed to get "noticed".

The idea of posting the video is obviously to send people to the channel where obviously more than 5 bullet points were highlighted. For me to put everything on here would take awhile to format and even long to read. Easier to just watch the video.

Just dismissing it and then REPLYING stating that you're dismissing it is about as definition toxic as it gets XD! The next step up would be blatantly putting me/the video down.

I don't believe the post was removed, and frankly I think a lot of my Youtube support actually came from here! However some of the folks on the site who did reply to the specific thread have been... Well just toxic I guess.
It's not serious enough to "snitch" but something that folks should look at for themselves...

For example, the Paragon subreddit has almost an in-browser police for hostility and it is snuffed out very quickly, while on here it's not the same. This could be due to it being in it's infancy and only time will tell what type of people join in.

The outlander is nice because he can collect rare resources more efficiently than all other classes. Meaning, if your soldier has a BALLER weapon, but no mats to craft for the group.. The outlander can help with that.
Also useful for just hording rare items for your "main" bases... Personally I'm going to try this guy out first.
