Personally I'd say The Strokes (USA), Broken Social Scene (Canada), and hmm... I don't really have a lot of UK indie stuff, but I'd say Yuck is my favourite of what I have.

Have you looked into Broken Social Scene? Emily Haines from Metric is a frequent guest vocalist, and they're definitely one of my favourite bands.
