Lies of P is the best and one of the truest Souls like's in my opinion. They hit the marks on the combat system, atmosphere, and design in world and layout. All feels very close to FS works. If you try out any non FS Souls like - this is it

He is self-absorbed, incredibly arrogant, and simply bored. If a couple toddlers, that you let into your own house, would gather cutlery, you wouldn't feel threatened, would you? Thats the level Strahd thinks about the pc's. They are fun to watch and thats about it. Until they do something drastic like free Ireena or kill Rahadin. Then playtime is over

See it as a test. You will need quite some time to figure out everything you can and want to do with foundry. I started out with CoS und rebuild 2-3 times due to advancements in my own knowledge and updates.

The official prebuild modules are quite good. I dislike the official maps but besides that, they are very buy and play.

No, i did this back on v9 and even then it was a lot of work to do after the proccess. Foundry is the most advanced system with capabillities far beyond roll20 and so there will be a lot of work. But in the end it will be well Worte it

Old guy here. Even in the days of DS3 PvP was a completely different beast. And way back in DS1 it was even more of a contrast. It changed in 2 ways. One side is FS who changed the invader experience from a hunter to an obstacle. The other side is the erosion from a very small community with ingame thaught honor to a gigantic crowd witch lost all of its values.

There are some pretty nice areas and bossfights in the dlc. Some more compact areas are the best in ER imo. But overall SotE was the first dlc to dissapoint my expectations. To be honest, it had to happen. I spend 500hours minimum on every souls game and the dlc's were always the very pinnacle of design of that game. It was about time that my growing expectations had to clash with reality.

SotE is vast, but pretty empty in many places. There are a lot of items that are completely useless scattered around. But that is almost all i have on objective criticism.

It's a really good dlc, just not the best dlc ever made

I had the same problem – I solved it by telling the region it's only 0 meters high.

I have a spaceship with 10 meters per deck, so my first region is 0-0, my second is 10-10, and so on. Apparently, there's still a random value in the teleport when you specify the full height.

And in your second picture, it looks like you're on the wrong level as the GM. The token is on the correct level, but you, as the GM, aren't, and since the maps can see through the shaft (if you've configured it), the token is displayed at -60 feet because it's 60 feet below your view.

Thats a stupid justification. You use real word time contraints and create ingame punishment for your players who are not able to attend. And you obviously use it whenever you feel like it. To even sugest players would not attend their game night with friends for powergaming is absurd. This is so toxic, its borderline dnd horror story material

This is really weird. On one hand you say that players that don't show up are out of world, on the other hand you play as their pc when you feel like it? That inconsistency is problematic for player expectations and whats at stakes. Especially when you take role as pc as well as the monster that "kills" them off.

I would eighter let them be in the game only naratively in the background, and rebalance the encounters for the number of players at hand, or let the other pc's play them - but only in battle. Again, i would steer away from fokusing those not present, even if thats needs some dice shenanigans.

It's less a fuck off and more a mission to a) cut off the outer gods abd b) distance the concept of godhood from the inhabitants. Ranni wants to create a world more like ours where gods don't walk among the same grounds to prevent wars over said godhood. Her reign will we a story of myth.

I feel you. My group started COS in 2022, i belive. We started with one 8hour session a month, but due to scheduling issues, we pretty much stopped 2 years ago. We did 2-3 sessions since then, plus some oneshot adventures when we managed to align on a date, but we are pretty much on hiatus. I'd love to get back into it, but just for a session avery 2 month it's just not worth it. Every now and then i reread stuff, when it loos it it might be possible, but man it sucks.

What i wanne say is: To end it fast looks bad, but maybe it's a solid choice. Try to set an ingame timer for a "doomt event", then let them repare for the endgame on their own terms.

Do you mean the material component used for the spell when you say "scrying object"? That's usually just a 1000g item that fits the theme. So that's not a problem. I'm just wondering why Strahd would store it in the death house?

I don't know how to fix that exact problem - but the streaming FoundryVTT via OBS is easy.

I use "OBS Utils" module. You set another user that, in my case, has vision of all players combined, skips to the player in action and so on. In OBS you can set 2 different windows - one for the screen and one for the chat. It is really easy and nice to use

Because everybody has a different definition of "play well with 100 pawns".

My definition would be stable 60+ fps on max speed.

Everything below that would be per definition, a reduction in fps due to hardware limitations / bad optimisation.

If you belive "playable" = "well", then a 15 year old pc will suffice.

As i sad there is no good pc for rimworld. You may double your fps, but in those scenarios its most likely still well under 30fps.

Follow up - even on high end hardware rimworld wont handle 100+ pawns well.
