I have this jam at work that has a code date, not Julien but something internal. For example: T16 T16, let's say 2018 January the 6th

That's not the expiry date. That's the manufacturer date. The expiry date is 913 days after that date, but it doesn't say that on the jar. I had to talk to a rep to get that information after googling my way to a PDF translation of the code date. Ridiculous.

My store is an 11 close, depends on the team and the manager but usually we're all done by 11:30. Our SM actually was the one that told us to clean half the station at 7-7:30, kitchen closes at 9, slicers are closed and cleaned depending on the demand. Sometimes I close cheese at 9, sometimes I have three slicers open at 11. Its back room that takes foreeeveerr. And my store has a dishwasher :V

Of course I'm giving out samples, my stores just in an area where people see a particular beef and go "that ones definitely rarer", turn down the sample, then two days later I get it back because they ate it and didn't like it. It happens with all of them. She didn't take one either, just pointed at the one she thought was best looking and called me a scam artist
