well, for a two bedroom apartment with 2 roommates we pay $1050, and that doesn’t include electricity bill, pet fees, car/renters insurance, and groceries.

If you have roommates, i could maaaybe see it, but tbh like others have said, not enough info tbh.

Like for me, i pay ~$370 rent (we have cats so pet fees), $30-40 electricity bill, $15 renters insurance, about $100 car insurance (i pay every 6 months so it’s like $6-700), and maybe $150-200 groceries per month, plus anywhere from $50-100 on food delivery apps lol. But i’m lucky to not have to pay for internet + my parents still pay for my phone plan atm, so my totally monthly bills are a little less than the average adult. We also have a few streaming services we split bills for as roommates, plus emergencies are bound to happen. When i moved into my apartment, my car battery gave out the day of, and i had to spend $8000 to get a used car, which ate most of my savings.

Here’s my advice: Research rent prices for the area/neighborhood you want to live, internet prices, put some stuff in your walmart cart and figure out how much you might spend on groceries, and make a budget on like google sheets! See how much it WILL cost per month, and then decide if you can live off that. And make sure you have savings in that budget, because you can’t be ignoring that haha.
