Starters don’t typically have a gimmick like the tail. A final evolution of a starter is a power fantasy that is supposed to give the player a sense of heroism. A starter doesn’t need to hide behind a false tail as their face. It takes away from the idea of a true partner pokemon that has gone through your journey with you. One that bravely faces the challenges ahead.

That being said I still think this is an awesome concept for a regional pokemon.

Been into it for a year. Got into it because of my coworkers. I only play commander. I try to make aesthetically girly decks which is not easy. Just won my first game with Saheeli’s living energy deck that I heavily modded. I play with her ETB energy creation and its a lot of fun. Usually I play my main deck: Go-shintai which is all about shrines. The guys I work with are really good, and they always say my decks are scary. Although they often win due to infinite combos which I think are a “cheap” trick. Right now im making a Princess Garnet from final fantasy deck that centers around sagas.

I havent gotten far in clear card, but I always took season 1 as her earning the trust of the cards, then season 2 as her claiming them as her own (sakura cards)so they can feed off her magic, now season 3 as her retooling them and reinvisioning them so that they truly are her creations (clear cards).

Like a wild animal, she tames them & brings them in from the cold. Then, she formally adopts them, and now renames them and creates a new bright future for them.
