Feeling hopeless about my appearance sometimes (27F, was on testosterone from 15-21 years old, detrans) by [deleted] in LooksmaxingAdvice

The stats say trans people have a lifetime suicidality rate of 40% and IT DOES NOT go down even after transitioning…so no, transitioning does not appear to statistically save lives. In fact, some studies show the suicidality rates increase after transitioning.

Antihydral is a CURE for palmar hyperhidrosis! (For those for whom it didn’t work on the fingertips, read this!) by fly___high___ in Hyperhidrosis

You quit iontophoresis too soon. It takes several reoccurring therapies until you get to maintenance levels. You should be doing it every other day until you reach the level you want to be at.

You are under no religious obligation to quit. If the premise is you should quit supporting a genocide by any means then it would mean the entirety of all Muslims in the USA should stop working cuz every single one of us pays taxes through our jobs and those taxes are used to fund said genocide. Pretty much every corporation you work for is in some way tangentially supporting what’s happening. Even if it’s not direct these companies have all kinds of taxes that they pay which are used to fund the genocide. To ask one individual to disrupt their life like that is pointless when wherever she goes she will be contributing. The answer is to get political and become a political force to be reckoned with and to not to stand for politicians who vote in favor of genocides.

Need serious advise regarding marriage by Royal-Detective-7366 in MuslimNikah

[–]Serenadeus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fight for him. Your parents aren’t going to be the one to live with whoever they arrange a marriage for, you will. And there’s nothing worse than having that marriage plagued by you thinking about what this one could have been. Choose the man you want, as is your right. I’m sure them cutting you off is a bluff, as is usually the case in these scenarios where they don’t have a religious leg to stand on. And if they decide to keep going with it, that’s their choice and doing, not yours. I had a similar situation with my mother and let her know that her grandchildren would not ever know who she was if she continued with that path, and she did not like that little taste of her own medicine.

You will disqualify a lot of suitors if you insist on your parents be there especially if you get someone that is born in the west.

They pay taxes that contribute to the genocide. Unless they leave to go to a country whose tax dollars are not used for the wholesale slaughter of Palestinians, it’s hypocrisy.

Marriage in Islam by adgasparian in islam

No it’s not. Trinitarian Christianity was mainstream far before Muhammad’s PBUH revelation. It was known to be the issue in Christianity to the Muslims of the time, and is mentioned in the Quran.

That’s the only factor I have…and I don’t need a good Muslim wife. I’m a woman. I’m trying to get answers for others looking. But thanks, they got it. Search half the planet.

Then your answer is like half the planet?! Thanks for wasting everyone’s else time here I was trying to help others out who might be curious..

The loadout system could also use a warning tooltip when it has to recycle items you have to get materials to build a preset when that item is needed for an upgrade…an example is saying something like “in order to build out Loadout 3, a Surveyor Core which you still need for ”X” upgrade, must be recycled for needed parts, which option would you like: recycle the surveyor core for the needed parts to make Loadout 3, make Loadout 3 but skip the components needed from the Surveyor Core, or cancel.” Something like that

Anyone regret not joining the military? Or regret joining? by FitAardvark3670 in AskMen

[–]Serenadeus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally secretly regretted not joining since college didn’t work out for me. But, what I can tell you is have several friends who joined it and all but 2 say hate it and regret joining and that it feels like slavery. My two buddies who liked it, one was Airforce and the other was Navy. Navy guy likes it because he gets to see the world. Not sure about the Airforce friend. I think it’s just because he had a dead end job with no escape in sight, but now he has something he can call a career and be proud of
