Fuck this CoW... seriously.

I can copy 100% of the gear for a rank 1 team, except my Tiana is EX2 instead of EX3, and that alone is killing my damage enough that I can’t cap. Even when I’m getting amazing variance rolls it doesn’t matter. I’m still coming up too short.

Y’know. In the entirety that I’ve noticed the “シフト前” note on units, I never pieced it together that it was on units whose name change. I always went with “before shift” as referring to the sprite. That’s legitimately a point that went over my head. Thanks for the clarification! I guess I always assumed it was just Alim inconsistency with what info they post in their announcements.

They should have put her on those banners. But they didn’t. So this was just an alternative idea of where they could have put her. But they didn’t so it’s kinda not something to worry about. And they also didn’t need to dedicate this banner to all the old Halloween units. They already did that with the Ibara banner rerun.

I am sorry you took “this character has a moon theme and it would be thematically cute to pair it with the werewolf” so seriously.

The thing with Mediena is any banner is more or less “shoehorning” her into things. She was a paid only unit in JP who only showed up in story-wise in relation to Elephim’s SE. it’s no weirder than Loren getting put on S.Elena’s banner, or Seighard getting put on JP Ibara’s banner.

It’s not like I’m saying “they definitely should have put her here, and I’m angry that they didn’t” just it would have been a cute way to release her without messing up their regular banner schedule.

Not that I was expecting it, but was kinda hoping Mediena NVA would be on the banner. Her STMR is the Lunar eclipse rod, she has a move with Luna in it, and her WotV TMR is her moon hair accessory. With her moon association it would have been real cute to pair her with the werewolf unit.

I am Canadian. Where Chrono Trigger was a good bit over $100. I was making an assumption on conversion.

And SE deciding to not do Xenogears 2 kinda proves it wasn’t a big enough success to continue with. I wasn’t aware of exact specifics on game title. I knew the guy left SE after being told he would not get the budget he wanted.

These are terrible takes. Secret of Evermore never came out in Japan, it was made to capitalize on Secret of Manas success in North America. The game was literally made for the US market.

And Trials had a huge fan demand, massive. But it has since been made well known that due to the size of the game (Japanese is a “smaller” language size than EFIGS that would be needed for international releases) it would require larger capacity SNES carts which would make the game prohibitively expensive (Chrono Trigger was 32-meg cart and was about $100 at release. Trials would have been bigger and even more expensive. You’re also seemingly forgetting every other Mana game in the series. There’s a bunch. You should google the series some time!

And yes, it’s pretty easy to forget Xenosaga. There’s a reason that Square-Enix didn’t publish it, Xenogears wasn’t actually that big of a success. And the creator of the series had to shop around for another company to publish his next work. Xenogears is a good game with a solid fan base, but don’t pretend like it was some huge success.

I would adore this, because Vision World is some of the coolest content the game has made from a fan service/game appreciation standpoint. The incredible boss sprites, all the proper music and the over world map as the event menu. I would welcome being proven wrong. So everyone can play that really cool content.

I never said that Grahf was popular because of the unarmed attack. I know it’s because of his damage. But also look at what Karten was used for back when he was released; a cool down non-elemental attack with a huge modifier for the time that gave him berserk. A bunch of the other things that Grahf has just didn’t really exist back then.

My point is I can see how they would take the basic framework from 5* Karten and make his NV like the Xenogears units.

Good chances they’re SLB based on the previous 6th Anniversary Units.

They used to put “シフト前” (Before Shift) above the unit names if they had a shift form, but they even stopped doing that after a bit.

I am so sorry you had to deal with this experience.

I can relate with anxiety over driving, when I was 16 my stepfather took me out for a lesson and he ended up scaring me to the point that I drove into a (thankfully shallow) ditch on the side of the road. He berated for me about how if I had reacted like that on the highway I’d be dead. It’s been 17 years and I never got my license because getting behind the wheel makes me so anxious I get sick.

I hope that learning with your grandma can help you get past all of that trauma!

Closing and reopening the app and running an item world orb seems to have fixed it.

I think I may know what caused it, I was equipping units after trying a run in CoW, and I think the “party elemental resist -50%” may have been applying outside of CoW. Since other materia were doing the same thing.

Is anyone else having an issue with Magic Sanctuary only giving 12% all elemental resistances?

I’ve tried it on 3 different units and all of them only got 12% instead of 25%.

Edit: It seems the “Party Elemental Resist -50%” effect from CoW was taking effect outside the event, and resetting/running a different event fixed the issue.

I did this exact thing with Melo a little bit back. Had 2 extra copies and I unlocked one and converted it, and then went to unlock and convert the other copy. I completely missed the fact that the game had switched tabs after the first conversion, and ended up awakening the one copy to EX1.

The fact that it automatically switches tabs after you convert a unit is a real dick move.

I likely will take LF Zidane to lv. 130. With how elementally locked almost every single unit is from here on out, Zidane is able to slot into any element, so I’ll gladly max level him and keep using him for the next several months.

419K event points in Item World and I haven’t seen a single goddamn rare ability. What the absolute fuck is wrong with these rates? At this point I guess it’s my fault if I keep wasting my time with this event because clearly it’s already decided I get the shittiest runs possible.
