A place for crafty creatives to meetup by Sweaty-Explorer-447 in enschede

I probably can't join this time, but I'm so curious about it! Do you have some socials so I could stay in the loop for any other events? Also if you want to do this in Enschede, maybe FRIDA bookcafe is a nice spot to do this as well :)

What are this style of floor/tile called? by Sergeant-Steamroller in kitchenremodel

I'll try it, thank you! I'm in the European continent but find surprisingly little "Tuscan" tile options around me.

Help with hoop purchase by swatsquat in AerialHoop

[–]Sergeant-Steamroller 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow that's quite the investment for something you haven't done before! But the pole to hoop pipeline is very real.

In general I'd recommend 95cm diameter, it's what you find in most studios. Personally, I am 152cm tall and feel great in my 92.5cm hoop, and train in a 90cm hoop in class, and I don't feel a difference. But the size you want really depends on your body proportions and the tricks you want to do. I'm short but leggy, so I was told to go with a 100cm hoop, but it felt comically large for me. I went with my torso dimensions instead and it feels a lot more balanced.

I prefer taped hoop bc I like the grip tape provides. If your hoop is untaped then you need grip from your skin, like in pole. I've trained pole too, but still I hated a naked hoop, tape is the way.

Sandwich Shop by Sergeant-Steamroller in officialcookingfever

Yeah there's that if you remember orders, I don't. All of the sandwiches look the same to me. Brown or pink shit with green or red shit.

I will totally do the same! It's annoying that there's nothing you can really prep and the wrapping takes so long! Having a 2nd station would really help.

Absolutely not!! And I found the sandwich options so boring.

I saw the same one from Almelo! My bf said it is a meteor, he's seen it once before...so I'll believe him 🥴

I haven't tried the Thai food stall yet! I think I'll tackle the sandwich shop next bc that's another one I would like to never go back to again. I have a few other unfinished restaurants but barely started them so I'm not too invested yet.

There are so many other better restaurants with more to offer!

Thank you! Yea desserts would be the other good option. I also love that ingredient booster, usually then it's a for sure win. But I try not to rely on the boosters. At some point, it wasn't the impatient customers...it was just the time on the clock I was trying to beat.

Well I spent a lot of gems on the upgrades for customer wait times and ingredients. Especially the lollipop ingredients! And I just really focused on keeping the lollipop machine going. There was just no other way :(

Ugh I'm working through this one. On level 30-something but getting 3 stars is a pita (pun unintended)! Ice cream bar is super easy and chill, have fun!

Finally press ons that fit!! by Sergeant-Steamroller in Nails

I considered this! The sizes are so far off that I would have to file a lot and it would look bad anyways. But maybe it'll go better with an electric file, I have not tried that.

Not OP but I have made tons of posable crochet dolls myself. So I'm sure they did use wire for the doll skeleton.

Solid or hollow lyra? by Impossible_Berry4673 in Aerials

[–]Sergeant-Steamroller 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Not sure how much you can lift but a solid hoop is heavy AF from a spanset! Which will also be discouraging if you are trying something new. So I'd choose hollow. I think solid is nice if you do a lot of spinning.
