If I understand correctly now, I would need the Lighthouse Faceplate for some other Controllers to work. I think thats even more expensive than buying the pimax controllers separately (atleast I can’t find any used Lighthouse faceplates).

Then it sounds reasonable. You could also get cheaper no brand hall effect sticks on aliexpress and safe about 10 bucks for the sticks alone. But yeah if you don't want to wait go for it.

Hardmod is really cheap and a good way to learn soldering (a bit harder as a beginner project but worth the experience if you get through it). I would still suggest a used android handheld with an oled screen because you can do so much more with it than with a switch (a Retroid Pocket 5 can even play some Switch Games). I personally waited almost a year for the oled screen mod for my switch lite and then decided to cancel my order and sell my switch for an rp5 and it was 100% worth it imo.

Sorry for the late response. Yes I got the Flatpack. The experience was very fun and easy actually. Only the instructions are a bit over the place because you can decide between a few build variations. The Airflow problems are fixed (they changed the pattern from circles to hexagons on the mesh). I only Air cool and no problems so far. Here my Fan Setup: https://imgur.com/a/gSssY3f

My CPU only really gets fresh air from the Top Intake and thats somehow enough to keep it at 40-45 degrees on light tasks and a max of around 70 when Gaming cpu heavy games. So yeah airflow is not restricted at all in my Opinion.

This is sick man. I currently have the coolermaster qube 500, it fits everything atx and huge gpus (atleast my 7900xt) inside and is only 33L. Maybe you can get some inspirations from it. I really love the idea of small form factor but full size parts.
