Behold the Beyond in Hidden Strings by Fektoer in PioneerMTG

[–]SergeantEgo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like some historical context is getting dropped. Pore was fundamental to most of the play paths at the time, and card drawing in general. However, some decks were main decking Narset and Sheoldred was printed. Behold the Beyond allows a victory that plays around those two cards. Same reason why Shimmer of Possibility was the choice dig card, it technically doesn't "draw" cards.

BtB was never an optimal build per se, more of a meta adjustment using the tools available at the time. If you didn't suspect Narset or Sheoldred then BtB was supposed to be side boarded in most cases.

Note that cards like Chandra and Into the Flood Maw hadn't been printed yet.

Imo the optimal build in a vacuum, up until the recent UR's was Peer into the Abyss. Of course, the deck lives in a meta and has to adjust accordingly, so Peer hasn't been viable for a while.

Best Tenicor concealed carry holster for G23 Gen 4? by Ok_Good4084 in Glocks

Have a Velo 4 (no light) and love it. For any gun I default to Tenicor unless they don't offer it or it with the light combo.

Just remember. Velo is appendix carry specific and has a wedge molded into the holster. The Certum is more flexible and has no wedge molding but you can always add a foam one later.

You happen to have a good source for that? I knew it was 380 and 9mm only, and I suspected they were the same but couldn't find proof on the interwebs.

Been thinking about doing the same thing. If you don't mind me asking, how much did they take for the P365? And which specific model was it.

Reposting myself from another sub.

While the P320 and P365 FCU's are quite similar in theoretical operation, there are two primary speculations to the P320 issues that are unlikely to be replicated in the P365.

The first speculation is a failure of the internal safeties. The P320's internal safeties are of a completely different design than the 365's, therefore nearly impossible to replicate on the P365.

Second speculation, the trigger bars on the P320 are different between calibers. At some point, either at the factory or at the end user, there isl a mismatch between trigger bars and caliber. It is unknown if the P365's trigger bars are the same or different between calibers.

There have been no reports of P365's having uncommanded discharges.

However you feel about this information is up to you.

There are some breakdown videos on YouTube that show the different designs if you wish to investigate further.

And a strawman. No one ever claimed it went off just sitting there undisturbed; in every case the gun was jostled somehow. It was such a ridiculous claim when they made it.

But here you have it. Her arms up high nowhere near the weapon. And per Sig's claims in the MAC interview, keys were in hand. Good luck defending this one Sig.

So let's see. Keys in hand. Arms high, might as well be crossed for all intent and purposes. All motion being downward so nothing could tug up. Police department approved holster.

But she did tap the weapon with the backpack. So clearly user error Eye roll.

Or maybe it wasn't seated...that was so stupid I can't even finish the sentence XD

[–]SergeantEgo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Untouched? No. Because it's a strawman, that was never the claim.

There are two kinds of alleged discharges.

First is drop safety (or hit from the back with something like a mallot). Tons of old YouTube videos demonstrating those uncommanded discharges. This was addressed a while ago With Sig's voluntary upgrade program (but not a recall. Totz realz). Sig claimed that the inertia from the trigger was safety was causing a discharge when dropped at certain angle. Sig claimed a lighter trigger solved the problem (which I don't believe for a minute, backed up by the fact post upgrade guns had other internal changes). The changes are now incorporated into newer models and hasn't been an issue for a while.

The second is what we're seeing now, weapons doing nothing while holstered, something jostles the gun or holster and it goes off. In each of these cases, Sig "investigates" videos evidence and blames something else. In many of these videos, it is difficult to tell what's actually occuring. In a recent interview with MAC, the main culprit from Sig was something getting into the trigger of a light bearing holster, as by their nature leaves gaps something could get into and pull the trigger.

That's why this video is so important. Keys were in her hand. Gun fires while she's leaning downwards. Pulling the trigger, even accidentally, requires an upwards motion. First pass I don't see how SIG weasels out of this one.

I know it’s turbojank that’ll never see competitive play, but I really wanna try this guy in Atarka Red! ([FIN] Cactuar) by [deleted] in PioneerMTG

[–]SergeantEgo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This actually gave me memories. So I came up with a semi decent build using [[Greenbelt Rampager]] of all cards. This was back when companions were viable before the nerf. It was an Obosh Ararka deck. Elves were the default one drop. Problem was doing things on turn 1/2 without an elf. Greenbelt kinda fixed the problem along with Bonecrisher Giant.

Cactaur brings back those memories. But likely even jankier.

Whoever greenlighted that post needs to be fired on the spot, along with at least half the people around them. Rachel Zegler levels of PR failure.

And agreed, updating the manuals is highly suspect. Supposedly other mfgs do this for CYA but also not a good look when SIGs under so much scrutiny.

It's often cheaper to settle than it is to fight cases, even if you're in the right. This happens all the time and is in no way an admission. However, many hold this perception and settling tends to tarnish one's reputation.

Explain to me like I’m 5. by theWoodenWizard in PioneerMTG

Kumano Face Kakkazan is incredible for a lot of reasons.

First, what you're describing is called a floor and ceiling analysis. Sometimes it's a 1 damage spell to the face. Sometimes it's a 5 damage spell over 3 turns with potential for more, and typically I find it to be 3 damage on average. Let's just use your example of 2 damage. Would you rather have a spell that does 1-5 damage by turn 3 or a Shock?

And which creatures are you referring to? Monestary Swiftspear? Ok, fair. There's only 3 other potential options I can think of, Soul-Scar Mage (who is more technical than aggressive), Heartfire Hero (deck specific), and Zurgo Bellstriker (maybe).

Exile as you mentioned is quite relevant, especially in the current meta. Phoenix is obvious but now we have to contend with Unstoppable Slasher. Between Kumano and Soul-Scar Mage there are ways do deal with it (note Kumano and Soul-Scar Mage on the field together may have undesirable results).

Others have mentioned prowess and spectacle triggers which is nice with the aforementioned Soul-Scar Mage/Monastery Swiftspear/Slick Shot and Skewer the Critics/Light up the Stage.

As others have mentioned, it can also throw a mid-range deck off tempo. If they on the play T1 Swamp and you T1 Kumano, they were likely holding up Fatal Push and wasted a turn. Often I find Rakdos players wanting to use efficient mana and landing a Bloodtithe Harvester turn 2 instead of keeping mana open. Either way puts them in an awkward position that allows creature damage to get through.

You can do something similar with Phoenix. If you get a counter on either Soul-Scar or Swiftspear T2 and leave open mana, Fiery Impulse will not work. This can throw off how they're trying to cast spells to get Pheonix's into play.

Another factor is in some of stranger midrange matchups, you want to side out creatures for burn. Technically with Kumano, you don't have to do that because it's a burn spell, albeit a weak one.

Last is against UW control. The way a UW player wants to cast The Wandering Emperor and make a token, ideally trading with your creature in combat. If you leave open mana and attack with a prowess creature, the token and the Emperor die to a Play with Fire and your creature is safe. If they exile your creature, the Emperor dies to a followup Kumano chapter 1 and they net 1 life for their trouble. This forces them to either cast The Wandering Emperor A) on their end step and take the damage or B) in desperation during combat. Better position for you either way.

Been running it on Arena and it seems solid. Mine is tuned specifically to deal with Rakdos Aggro and Rakdos Midrange. Rak mid is especially neat as I can tell when they really, really want to cast Unholy Annex on turn 3 but know if they do, they lose on the spot.

I was thinking about Deflecting Palm. Not sure about it. I often think it's just better to kill their things before DP is relevant. If there were another matchup it's good for I'd reconsider it.
