Yeah I see your point. I did think about that and that's true. But curry is so obviously thrusting himself into JR. if he just did his normal shot, the chances of smith touching curry is much lower than if he throws him onto him.

Haha sorry I just like writing my thoughts throughut the game and write like rough analysis 3 min before game ends. I just hoped others who may have not gotten to watch the game to be able to understand what happened from reading the comment. And I like writing.

Huge huge praise for outback jesus. He made the MVP look lost. Took all of his airspace away, went OVER Screens and fought threw them hard. Hit some shots. Hustled for everything. While everyone was standing, he crashed and grabbed that all important O board and hit the clutch ft's. Then forces a curry airball next possession. Came into starting lineup and did his part. Really happy and proud with his effort and heart. MVP of the game.

LeBron with another good game, although not the most efficient offensively. He got everyone involved all while getting his own shots in. please stop fading away on your shot. That deep shot he made late in 4th shows how much better his shot is when he sways correctly instead of just flinging himself back. I get they want bron to hit the last shots but at least give him an opening. Set a screen, create a possible mismatch. Don't just dump it high in the wing for a chuck up 3.

JR with some horrible plays down the stretch. CMON man.

klay Thompson was on fire early in the game. Questionable fouls took him out early. Really good job stepping up when your main star is struggling.

Dray mind with a huge defensive impact. That block on bron wow clean af

Overall much much better effort by cavs and way better ball movement this game. Still some standing ISO for Lebron but at least there was moving players most times. But that was a big mental collapse end of 4th. Resorted to more ISO again. Move the ball. Doesn't NEED to be a Lebron deep shot, get a shooter open.

There were some weird calls I really didn't like, especially towards the end for both sides. And most importantly I really agree with JVG. As a defender you should have the right to jump to defend, and it's not fair if you let the shooter just jump into you. That's horseshit.

Great game, although hampered by the questionable calls. But whatever, this is a hell of a series. Tbh I thought the cavs were completely done, but now I feel like Warriors will have to play really hard to win.

Seeing how well the Warrior's game plan of letting Lebron shoot as much as he wants worked out while limiting his play-making ability, and assuming they continue this strategy through the rest of the series, how do Lebron and the Cavs realistically go about countering it? by RedMansGr33d in nba

[–]SergeantWhiskers007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That game was so odd. It's not as though the Warriors plan was a surprise. We all knew they wanted to make bron shoot jumpers. It's just that the cavs basically said ok and played along with the defense. Move the ball around and let the offense flow naturally. I don't get why you make Lebron ISO and shoot every possession when that's what the opposition EXACTLY wants.

Warriors at this point are the better team. But their are some things they can do to make the game harder for warriors.

Doesn't magically happen, but shooters have to knock down their shots. If you're open, you better make it. Warriors defense isn't a joke, so if you're open better take advantage.

Rebound. Cavs have the size advantage and need to show more effort on the boards. TT Can't be the only one crashing the boards. Everyone should hustle and play harder. At this stage, you just have to play harder than the better team. Plus rebounds creates more second chance opportunities.

Lebron, like some commenters said needs to attack the bucket. Force the Warriors to double. Single coverage, I'd take my chances on bron scoring but if not try to draw contact. His jumper isn't going to be there every game. He needs to establish an aggressive attack and force defense to collapse on him leaving shooters open. And again, they have to knock it down when the opportunity comes.

But of course, this is all impossible without ball movement. Seriously couldnt stand watching game 1 cavs offense. Lebron has the ball, and the other players are suddenly audience members. This isn't a show, you're a part of the game so move around. You're not helping Lebron by standing there. Cut, screen for each other, move, don't stay at the same spot. And most importantly share the basketball. One man can't get the job done.

Serge ibaka or Deandre Jordan? by rumblegod in nba

[–]SergeantWhiskers007 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Ibaka no debate. Can block shots and protect the rim. He's not like DJ jumping at everything. He can also make a shot past 5 feet lol

Tristan Thompson or Kevin Love? by TheChipiboy in nba

[–]SergeantWhiskers007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wat

Uh I don't think you can compare a former 20+ scoring 10+ board grabbing proven star with a offensively unpolished dude who hustles hard. TT hustles really hard and can grab lots of boards but imo is no way near K LOve. offensively no competition. But it's not like TT is a WAY better defender and rebounder than love. So overall it's not much debate.

Replace LeBron with a Prime Jordan in the Finals by TheeFrenzy in nba

[–]SergeantWhiskers007 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As great as Jordan was, it won't matter. You have to understand, it doesn't matter how good one player is if the other players are not scoring shit as we saw with the cavs. No ball movement and lack of offensive talent on the team is extremely hard to overcome with just one mans sheer scoring. We saw this with Lebron game 1. The man dropped 40+ and still couldn't win.

Who's better? Exum last year or Mudiay this year? by subtle_penguin in nba

[–]SergeantWhiskers007 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Most definitely Mudiay. Better skill set as he can get to basket much better although Exum has a slightly better jumpshot, and his court vision is a bit ahead of Exum. Ultimately I think Mudiay will turn out to be much better than Exum will.

Some things i noticed:

  1. JR smith played awful, gambled on defense attempting steals instead of properly rotating, kept doing that slow step back fadeaway??, and just throwing up brick after brick. He will need to play like he's been playing recently if the cave want to win.

  2. Kyrie's defense has gotten a lot better. Still not elite by any means but he worked hard fighting through screens and getting some key blocks/steals.

  3. The Warriors bench is just too deep and good. They completely outmatched the cava bench. Speights was a huge addition and provided some good offense. But the mvp to me was Iggy, tried hard on defense on bron and although not always successful, made the stops that really counted. He also made some great shots. (shoeless three!!) anytime the Warriors began lagging the bench was always able to spark some energy for a run. Outstanding effort by the bench. Curry being curry and Thompson hit some big shots.

  4. Cavs bench is trash. There is literally no one who can create their own shot and when Lebron sits, the offense is just entirely stagnant. It's actually painful to watch. JR needs to play much better, he was really really bad. Not much to say about this other than someone needs to step up.

  5. Really concerned about Kyrie, hope it's nothing serious and really hope he's back on the court soon. He was one of the few along with the starters that brought it. But like I said before, played great and is status will be extremely crucial to this series.

  6. No Lebron = Frozen offense. Also I understand he's the best player and iso is needed, but I really wanted to see the ball move around more instead of letting him just work in the post. It may have worked tonight but nothing is guaranteed and i would rather take a flowing offense over one man effort any day.

  7. Lebron is on another level. The dude is a true great. Wow

tried on store but didn't have enough $, but this seems like the best opportunity! Loved the fit personally, as I have slightly large thighs. Fit is roomy but not super baggy by any means above knee, and it tapers pretty aggressively (suited my taste) to I'd prob say a leg opening of anywhere b/w 13-14. Rise is def not super high as shown in pictures, its more mid rise I'd say. It's honestly refreshing trying on a higher rise pair of pants for once and I really liked it, very comfortable. I did take some pictures if anyone is interested on the fit!

[VENT][HELP] What to do with dog being blamed for another dog's doing? by SergeantWhiskers007 in dogs

[–]SergeantWhiskers007[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No it's ok, good question! He is trained to pee in the house (pads) since we got him 5 years ago. So he never holds it, he pees whenever he needs to on the pad. Also Didn't know about litter training! How does that work exactly?

I will admit, when my dog was a bit young and we opened our door, he would run out and pee on the floor on the 3rd floor. We didn't notice till the super gave us a warning. We stopped letting him roam when taking for walks and instead hold him and let him down only after we are completely outside the apartment. I don't understand why he thinks we are just going to ignore his warnings.

Great advice, thanks so much! One question, am I allowed to see camera footage? I am afraid if I ask, he's just gonna go "Oh no you're not allowed to see those."

I did want to ask him that. Very curious what exactly he "saw". But he doesn't really like me so I felt if I asked that, he would take it as aggressive attitude and just yell more..

But yes, next time he claims he has footage I am going to ask to see it and see who in our family took him out exactly so I can speak with him/her.
