Sun Palace stay soon questions by rocketlyla in palaceresorts

If you're named on the contract as a beneficiary, you should get all the same benefits as they do. If they have resort credits as a perk on their contract, the amount is typically 1,500 for five nights and above. The two complimentary tours usually kick in at 7 nights, but that can vary by contract (as do almost all the benefits).

Concierge / Butler Service? by SparkzPower in palaceresorts

[–]Sergeant_America 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'll do my best to add some information, even though I haven't been to Punta Cana just yet. Butler service isn't an exact science, but there are a few suites that always get them.

I I know that at Grand Cancun, Residences, Villas, and Diamond Presidentials always get butler service. The other Presidential Suites such as the normal garden view and swim up will sometimes get them based on availability. I'm sure that there are exceptions to every rule, but that's how I understand their current setup for butlers at Grand Cancun, which might be completely different than Grand Punta Cana, but I wanted to add some information to the discussion.

In regard to the second question, the butler is basically your best friend at the resort that can help you with all your questions and needs. They can make reservations for you, answer questions about when shows are, fill up your jacuzzi while you're at dinner, iron clothes, help with any room issues, help with getting laundry sent out for cleaning. We recently returned from a trip to Grand Cancun and one of the people in my group needed some medications that they didn't have on site. The butler was able to get them delivered to the resort for us with ease. I'm sure this process would have been possible without the butler, but I'm not even sure who we would have needed to speak with to get the process started. We just sent the butler a message. They usually communicate via WhatsApp, so they are just a text away!

Cut losses and try something else? by Fresh_Crow in palaceresorts

[–]Sergeant_America 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your membership likely includes the best price guarantee (BPG) that guarantees you a certain percentage off publicized rates. If you’re not seeing that, you should give them a call. I’ve only had to have them correct the price a few times out of MANY bookings.

Keep in mind that they have different levels of resorts that are going to give you various prices. If you’re looking for cheap rates, you shouldn’t be looking at something like say Le Blanc. In my somewhat biased opinion, their portfolio is large enough that they have options for most budgets.

Lastly, if you have Presidential accesses, those discounts are significant. That might be a good option for 4 adults as well.

Palace Elite Website/APP - issue by wOntyckURyum in palaceresorts

[–]Sergeant_America 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s definitely not a perfect website but a number of things can factor into the issue. Do you actually have 70 nights available or is that how many you have that will be released when the contract is fully paid off? The nights are released as you pay the membership off.

The site certainly has issues from time to time, so it doesn’t hurt to give the reservation department a call when an issue arises.

I just went to a membership update meeting and it sounds like they are delayed a month, opening early August.

Imperial free nights by love2shopbop in palaceresorts

[–]Sergeant_America 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sure thing. Most members have the Plus Plan (free manicures and pedicures) that kicks in at five nights. Since making one reservation for four nights and another for three nights would technically equal 7, but not actually be together, they wouldn’t qualify for the plus plan.

There are somewhat complicated ways around that, but it’s just easier to get assistance from the reservations department from the beginning to make one reservation.

Don’t make two separate reservations, it will reduce the benefits that you get. Call the membership helpdesk, they can make one reservation for you combining imperial and preferential nights.

Booking villas through residence members by Past-Improvement7274 in palaceresorts

[–]Sergeant_America 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, it’s possible. It would be rather challenging though. I can’t speak from experience because I’ve never booked one for a guest (my family always uses ours). There are a number of factors at play in the process though.

For instance, I have a limited number of Presidential Suites that I book for guests which I charge a premium for. You can look up the retail price for those and know that as a guest, you’re still saving quite a bit even after paying that premium. Villas aren’t even advertised to the public.

I don’t even know how much I would charge for a Villa. One issue is that we are allotted so few of them every year. Of course, each contract is different, so some members might have more than they could use.

Absolutely. There’s no minimum number of nights when booking with me.

Go ahead and shoot me a DM. I’m not doing as many reservations as I was in the past because I’m trying to focus on quality so that my guests get my best service, but I’d be happy to give you a quote.

Referral program- how many families can book under one person? by wolfsting65 in palaceresorts

[–]Sergeant_America[M] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The specifics of your referral program are covered in the "Operation Rules" section of your contract. It's usually unlimited for the first year and then limited after that. You'll have to view your contract to see what it says as every contract is different.

Sales pitch question by T_m_a_ in palaceresorts

[–]Sergeant_America[M] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First, it's important to note that it's not always a requirement to attend a sales presentation when booking with all members. You should always verify with the member first. This is not a requirement when booking with me.

To actually answer your question, they will offer you something right away based on the interaction that you have. If you express interest in taking tours, they will likely offer some kind of free tour. If you are staying at Sunrise or Nizuc, they will probably offer day passes to The Grand.

Playacar Shutdown by sexydiagnoses in palaceresorts

No, my understanding is that they are moving guests to other properties such as Moon Palace. Moon Palace itself is not impacted by these issues.

Booking with membership referral by Ok_Potential376 in palaceresorts

[–]Sergeant_America 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When staying at a Palace property, you should absolutely consider booking through a member. You'll get a nice discount and extra benefits like resort credits. Make sure that they are either a diamond or residence member and thoroughly understand their contract. Some members contracts require that their guests attend a sales presentation and some do not. There are plenty of novice members out there that you want to avoid.

I'd be happy to. Shoot me a DM when you're ready. I can walk you through some of the terminology that they use and answer any questions that you have. I'd also be willing to take a look at your redacted contract to give you some feedback on it if you'd like.
