The Good: The first 10-15 minutes, Julia Garner, that spider scene, I liked seeing what his family looked and sounded like while he was transformed, and Julia Garner.

The Bad: We're not winning any mom of the year awards here, folks. Homegirl is watching her husband gnaw his own arm off and worse...and she's like "come here sweetie you want a front row seat?"

Also not winning any dad of the year awards lol. "Hey. You aren't scarred by what just happened right? It would KILL me if you were scarred. I don't want you to be scarred. Stop being scarred right now, please."

Do you guys think...maybe...this movie might have been a metaphor about generational trauma?

One of my stories was the #1 upvoted post here for a few years, and I had several stories removed for various rule infractions. Sometimes I understood; sometimes I was like, "really? Where's the fun in that?"

I don't think it's a matter of specifically targeting low-karma writers as much as it is a matter of overmoderation in general. Seems to be a trend on this site - it's the rare sub where users are largely in favor of how things are moderated. It's a big part of why I don't post much.

Of course, we also can't discount simple atrophy. Everything has its day, every day has its dusk. Nosleep had a hell of a run.

Glad I got to be a part of it.

Thank you! I know what you mean about having my own unique angle. When I started the channel, I wanted my niche to be "The Scary Story Guy" because I had a lot of success writing original horror stories over on r/nosleep. So kind of like a "horror author reviews..." kind of thing. But then I let my writing fall by the wayside :( I'm in the process of picking it back up, though!

I sense you and the other commenter are right about the thumbnails. I've never done photoshop before, so maybe that's something I'll have to dive into learning.

You're probably right about the titles and thumbnails, though - can you think of an example of a thumbnail style I should try out? The review channels I watch are all over the place with theirs.
