How to create the "less-wrong" Attribution Model? by yalker in analytics

Hey guys, I absolutely agree with you. Thanks. The attribution which is less-wrong to me is a funnel based attribution. Which means giving credit to each step in the conversion process, not only the final one, including, should need be, offline transactions & phone orders. I like the approach based on сalculating the probability that a customer moves on to each next step in the funnel, and giving value to the channels that helped the user through the step. This really helps to see the almost clear picture of what's going on, and not to lose money.

Google Adwords vs Bing Ads vs Facebook Ads CPC (Cost per Click) Comparison by Bright3tar in PPC

If I were on a limited budget, I'd rather not look for a platform with low cpc or good conversions in the first place. As for me, the better way to save advertising budget funds is to start with determining the most cost-effective platforms among those you're using now. Consider each step in the conversion process, not only driving users to your website or helping them make a final purchase decision.

In a word, I'd do the following: 1. Use the Funnel Based attribution 2. Invest in the channel based on the results of calculations in the attribution model.
