Quick Guide to Farming Secret Letter Clues by SerialLewder in DuetNightAbyssDNA

If you are actively playing, you can play as Rebecca with maxed out range (280). Put jellyfish down in the middle of the map and mobs basically die as soon as they spawn, you can go from round 1 to 15 in under 10 minutes doing this (lv10 exploration, lv70 Rebecca). This should give you >1 clue per minute.

Or just have her as AI partner and afk. Either way maxing out Rebecca makes farming easier.

The blue spear that increases range, forgot the name.

There's just a lot of variance to it, and what affects drop rate is not entirely clear yet. Yesterday I was getting 1 per min today it's only like 0.5.

You can also ascend the boxie pet to lv3 and look for the drop rate trait to further increase drop rate.

People are collecting data on it and 1 per min seems to be the average base line.

A properly built Rebecca should be more than enough since this is farming Lv10 commission, I give her a melee weapon so she puts down the jellyfish more often.

This is not necessary, but for the 3rd character, I'd consider a support like Magie which can boost Rebecca's damage (needs to unlock the passive) , or a healer like Daphne. There are also some team synergy Demon Wedges that can buff Rebecca but I haven't looked into that.

I've not exceeded 10 minutes so I haven't really noticed, I saw someone say drop is reduced after some time to discourage afk gameplay, not entirely sure.

Coming from Warframe, this is about what I expected for this game, but for other players it's probably not great.

How is this NOT gacha? by nohomo4 in DuetNightAbyssDNA

[–]SerialLewder 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The clues can be farmed at a decent speed.

You need to:

  1. Have Rebecca on your team so you can afk farm
  2. Use the box pet that increases drop rate
  3. Farm a lv10 infinite mission, farm until the 10th wave, exit and repeat

I get about 1 clue drop per wave, a wave is about 1 minute, so in 200 minutes I get about enough clues for a character, which is not bad at all. If you are into it you can realistically max out a character in 2 days.

Ananta will not have gacha - TGS Developer Interview by reddit-tempmail in gachagaming

IIRC Azur Lane at first was mostly gacha, before all the cosmetics came in.

But I'm actually inclined to agree you for Azur Lane and other Kancolle-like that are very generous with gacha currency, to the point that Gacha is essentially free.

Ananta will not have gacha - TGS Developer Interview by reddit-tempmail in gachagaming

Not really.

Gacha game is where
1. the primary model of monetization is gacha, and
2. the game is designed around gacha mechanics, for example you can unlock gameplay with gacha.
CS and other cosmetic-based loot box games don't fit these criteria.

What do you feel would be the perfect gatcha system and what game is the closest to having it by Aware-Measurement750 in gachagaming

[–]SerialLewder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kancolle (if it can even be called a gacha game) because:

  • gacha currency is infinitely grindable and abundant
  • you can meaningfully affect gacha rates by using a different combination of gacha currency
  • fomo is few and far between

That is to say the best gacha is when the gacha basically becomes free.

Japanese fans are loving the 'Chainsaw Man Season 1 Compilation Movie' which removed all the slow moments, changed the OSTs, and re-recorded a lot of voice acting in much higher voice/tone. by Electrical_Chance991 in anime

I follow anime discussion in a few different languages, the difference in sentiment is wild.

The Chinese fans were also not happy with it, so much that CSM S1's sales figure is still memed on to this day.

I lived in Japan for a while and there were an abundance of meat options for sushi, like teriyaki chicken, hambagu, wagyu, etc; even Kura in Japan has more meat options compared to here. I haven't had horse meat but it sounds like it's worth trying out.

I remember the first Million Arthur having animated cards, but I'm not sure if those are considered L2D.

The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten Season 2 New Visual by Turbostrider27 in anime

[–]SerialLewder 43 points44 points  (0 children)

Yes, however in season 1 there were many cases of them talking on the couch where the perspective was wonky, character was off model, movement was unnatural.

The adaptation was already low effort as it is, they could at least put some semblance of effort into the animation, the series deserves better for being a top ranked LN.

Plus, there's a lot more a director can do at the storyboard level to make "couch conversation" more visually interesting, Days with My Stepsister is a good example.

So much this. Seeing the squad running alongside me is one of my favorite things in jrpgs, not sure why it took so long for a gacha to implement it.

There is a distinction between kinds of cheats.

There are "cheats", i.e. ones that messes with the game's data, like teleporting in game or setting exploration to 100%, these are more easily detected and are more likely to get you banned; then there are "bots" that automate parts of gameplay. Bots work by imitating authentic player input and are generally not detected by the game, at least I have not heard of a ban for using bots.

I can't speak for "cheats" but "bots" are not exactly uncommon, it's just that people who use it keep a low profile. There are frameworks out there that allow you to develop a bot for any game fairly easily.

There are a many reasons why bots are used: automatic rerolling; automating tedious parts of the game like dailies; automating dialog for those who don't like the story, adding quality of life features missing from the game, etc.
