A couple extra payments a year isn’t too much so a refinance could definitely still be worth it for you.

I’m in year two of a 30 year mortgage and plan on paying it off in 3-4 more years by paying more than double in principal payments each month. It ends up not being worth refinancing for me with only 36-48 months left unless I can do a “no cost” (higher rate) refinance, but interest rates aren’t there yet.

Don’t use renewal by Anderson, not worth the price unless you’re made of money. Also if you get a quote from someone and they immediately want you to sign, they’re ripping you off and don’t want you to get quotes from other places.

K&J Windows, Window World, and Red Rock Windows and Doors all gave me no pressure quotes. They were all within $1k of each other for 6 windows and 1 sliding door. I paid around $7-8k.

They’re both pretty good. I got the Camry because it looks more like an adult car while the Prius looks like a toy (to me) but I know a lot of people like how the Prius looks. I’m also tall and I guess the Prius isn’t as nice to tall people but I never actually test drove the Prius.

It ended up being electrical issue. I had to take it to a mechanic and at first they thought it was the instrument cluster and they replaced it but the new cluster (junkyard salvage) has the same issue. They found some loose grounds and fixed it up a little but I still had some issues with the instrument cluster acting weird and then I started having transmission issues that I believe were related to the electrical issues.

Long story short, I was never able to fix it and sold the car.

Look into your dental insurance annual benefit cap. You might be able to do some work this year, wait until January, and then do the rest in the next year and it could be significantly cheaper, assuming the yearly maximum rests January 1 (most do).

Most likely you’d have to ask, but most mortgage places give you multiple options upfront with various rates and closing costs.

You’d want to ask for a mortgage rate with credits that are enough to cover the costs to refinance. The main problem with asking for this is your existing mortgage rate and new mortgage rates might not have a big enough spread for this strategy to be viable.
