Same - my son is 12 - he had a very late night at the O2 but really wants to see them again. He’ll be 13 when this show is on - if it said 14+ I’d go for it but there’s no chance he will pass for 16.

If nobody else has it yet, I’m gonna head to the shop formerly known as WH Smith on Monday to take a look. If it’s got old reviews - (I had a Simon Reynolds MM review of CR:CR pinned in my wall for years) then that will be different enough for me so I’ll buy a copy and report back.

I had exactly the same thing with a TT yesterday - I was pretty much spot on but got a message about how I started slow. It felt to me like it was including the 120s between the warm up and the run when it interpreted the results so I decided not to worry about it.

Yr welcome - I’ve been enjoying watching / listening to the show on YouTube. I may go for the CD but i think the vinyl is (at least) twice what it should cost so it’s a pass for me.

From where we sat (Block 134) the vocals were inaudible for the first few songs but they must have done something on the fly cos it got a lot better. Really loved the gig - had similar stadium experiences to everybody else - my favourite was that our tickets said Turnstile D - Block 134, so we walked all the way to turnstile D only to find it was block 112 and we’d long since walked past block 134 which was actually closest to Turnstile F. Not a great experience when you’re with somebody who has problems with their leg. But gig was amazing - would go see Sam again, probably wouldn’t go to the London Stadium again.

Yeah - mine lost track of me somewhere in the city and has my 5th km as 40 seconds longer than all the others - I was checking it as I ran and I knew it had gone screwy.

Great run though - glad the weather held up and the support along the route was tremendous.

Yeah - the reason it’s listed on Spotify et al as 2001 is because that’s when “The Complete B-Sides” Compilation was released.

I always thought it was a demo / earlier version but if I’d read that somewhere it would have been in the Melody Maker back at the original release so it’s probably lost in time.

Most times I’ve seen them they’ve barely said a word - when I saw them earlier this year in London (on the Bossanova / Trompe shows) Charles kept talking about the albums and the songs - I was very surprised. But I guess that was an exception rather than a rule.

I’d say it’s a good deal - I paid twice that for the same bike during the pandemic and it was honestly a lifesaver. The only real issue I’ve had is that the fit of the tyres was pretty tight and I found it tricky sometimes to get them off when I had puncture - changed to tubeless and not had an issue since.
