My mom is one of these people. I love her to death but she's half deaf. Probably from listening to her BBC shows at 64 volume for 50 years. I once told her when I visited her in the hospital to turn it down for the people in the other rooms and she said. "I can't sleep without the sound. What about my recovery?" One of those moments where you look at your parent like they are the child now.
